One odd thing I've noticed, something I noticed since episode one, but became even more apparent now, is that a few of the characters have REALLY visible irises.
Korra and Bolin especially, have extremely bright Blue and Green eyes, respectively.

A lot of the characters in the Avatar-verse have really visible irises. They're broken down by nation/bending.

(Most) Water Tribe people have blue eyes (few exceptions being the Foggy Swamp Tribe and Hama)
(Most) Fire Nation people have golden eyes (few exceptions being Ty Lee)
(Most) Earth Kingdom people have green eyes. (few exceptions being Toph's dad)
(Most) Air Nomads have dark gray eyes

Well it makes sense since it's genetic. Most water benders (in the original series) also had Inuit features too, as does Korra and her parents.

Their clothing though probably fits the trope better. The only time they don't is in the third season from The Headband until The Day of Black Sun.

Not really. As Hatcher said, it was more of a genetic thing (and I think the eye color was specifically tied into Benders, instead of their nationality). Bad Earthbenders still had green eyes.

New episode: I thought some of the dialogue felt a little forced/unnatural.
My otp is being canon-shipped, excellent.
Mako is batman.
Those adults Gaang glimpses were kewl.
And I thought Amon was smart, but no, he's letting Korra go becuz arrogance :/
Not at all. He explicitly states why he does it
because if he stopped her bending now, she would become a martyr, uniting everyone to her cause. He wants to destroy her to the point where no one supports her as Avatar first, so her "death" will have no meaning.
Little details like that are why I love Mike and Bryan. They are superb storytellers.

Ah.
Right.
I missed that small detail, was watching this in a rush before going out to work.
So this is a series you need to watch with 100% attention.

I don't think that was a little detail. He made it pretty clear during his big villain speech.

And yea, Amon is badass.
