It was about simple, old-school decks. Having a theme was preferred. No decks too OP or like Kaiba/Yugi (for obvious reasons). When a monster is Special Summoned to your opponent's field there isn't a lingering effect that keeps it on his field. If it changes control because of cards like Remove Brainwashing, it just goes back to its original owner. The only way to prevent that is negate Remove Brainwashing at its activation. At one point he managed to pull double Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and REDMD out of his ass when I couldn't do anything to stop it. He didn't attack for whatever reason, so I could summon my Skull Servant, swing with it into REDMD, which then powered up my kings enough to run over his monsters and eventually let me win. I only have to get over a defense position Spoiled Angel. I already have Barkion and Meteorburst on the field, so what's my option for getting rid of Spoiled Angel...? Metaphys Horus. Of course, I forget that my opponent has a facedown monster on the field aside from Spoiled Angel, and they give me that. Full field, and not a single monster with more than 2500 ATK. I decked myself out hoping to draw into my CED to bounce back one of my monsters. Second game, against a weird Prophecy/Lightswornclown hybrid. I get out Star Eater, my opponent eats it with DRXD. Next turn, I spin his Clown with Castel, and then try to steal his DRXD with Horus... only to forget I had already used it and it was in the grave. I end up making an overcomplicated defensive play that lets me survive for one turn, next turn I try to get rid of their DRXD with no success... forgetting that this time I could have summoned Horus because I had Psyframelord Omega in the graveyard, so I could return Horus to the ED to reuse it.
