Mistaken Charges [BOSH]

Hello, fine peoples!

 

I know this card was talked about before, but it hadn't been fully clarified then.

 

 

If your opponent has more total cards in their hand and their side of the field than you do: Target 1 face-up card on the field; neither player can activate cards, or the effects of cards, with that name for the rest of this Duel, except that face-up card. You can only activate 1 "Mistaken Charges" per turn.

So, uh, I remember people were curious on whether this lasted one turn or the whole duel. Well, it's the whole duel. I can still see this as being potentially rediculous, but I don't know how effective it is likely to be in any formats for a while (Performas probably don't mind this as much as other decks, but hitting Sorcerer could be big), but it definitely looks like something that could really stop a deck cold.

Unfortunately Qli, Nekroz, and Shaddoll are already dead, and this doesn't do a whole lot to PePe.  It just means they have 1-3 less broken cards in their 40 card broken deck.

this can hurt monarch i believe, hit the pantheism/netherworld/idea , outside that, you can also hit kozmotown/psyframe field which slow down the decks

and hitting dante also hurt BA

Um you hit pendulum Wizard and that's really significant. Or set 4 and hit Joker or monkeyboard. It's plenty good vs PEPE

They're releasing a new set every month or so, so we have

Wing Raiders coming later this month or early January

BOSH coming sometime between mid-January and mid-February

SHVI being a thing between mid-February and late March

hm. What if you target Plushfire in the scale when Luster Pendulum tries to pop it? Once it's off the field, I don't think the opponent will be able to activate its effects. Same goes with Damajuggler.
