Tell me your original cool fictional power?

Everyone's thought of one really cool superpower/ability that they think would be awesome to have or make a great plot device. Right? No? Just me? That's cool too. 

 

I always thought it'd be amazing ability to at any point in time be able to, inside your head, consult younger or older versions of yourself in a conversation to ask for advise or remember things you've forgotten. Having that massive perspective would be neat.

Though I myself have imagined having the ability to walk through a door and come out of any other door I want.

It'd be more advantageous and useful to have telekinesis or shape-shifting or teleportation, but I want to fly. Not interesting but FLYING so who actually cares at that point.

The obvious one is shape-shifting, and that's my boring answer because it basically makes most of my problems not exist.

 

...I'll try to come up with a more interesting one later, but I've always been really into shape shifting. xD

Also wouldn't the person have pseudo-psychic powers based on the fact that they can consult versions of themselves who have experienced and seen the future?

Anyway; mine would probably be the ability to telekinetically manipulate particles, atoms, molecules, that kind of stuff. :) This basically would let me fix a lot of stuff imo, and yeah shapeshifting is a cool one too but I think this one could do it too, technically.

Taken to its logical extreme, an ability like that could give you way more than just precognition. There's this manga about this chick who can telephone herself at different points in time and that ability alone led her to becoming godlike or some sheet. And that's with being limited to a phone call. If you could easily talk to yourself from any other point in time, that leads to a lot of weird sheet if you know how to utilize it.

You could essentially do x, communicate to previous self all about x, now the person has all of the knowledge x has to offer, repeat until the end of time basically. A brilliant mind in theory could abuse this ability, though it's interesting to consider how much a moron could realistically achieve. 

 

The concept of having an amazing extra-human ability that if given to anyone else would propel them to God-like stature but given to a specific person is nullified due to their other sub-optimal traits is actually really dope.

The ability to instantaneously know the solution to a problem, if given sufficient information for the problem to be solved through regular means.

 

Basically having my thought process take absolutely no time at all.

When I was in elementary and middle school, intangibility was my sheet. You know, the ability to become literally untouchable?

 

No, I'm leaning more towards thread manipulation. Don't like someone? Strangle them with their own shirt. Undo those crucial stitches on their recovering insides and let them bleed out. Sew their mouth shut. Your shirts would never tear, your shoelaces never fray, your fishing line never tangle. The possibilities are really really big!

That's really neat, and similar to the idea I was going to post when I say this. Instead of talking to past/future versions of yourself, I'd be able to talk to versions of myself from alternate realities. Like Steampunk!cardgameking, SerialKiller!cardgameking, dragon!cardgameking, etc.
