Magical Something
DARK/Spellcaster/Effect/Level 4/1800 ATK/1300 DEF
Each time a Spell Card is activated, place 1 Spell Counter on this card when that Spell Card resolves. This card’s Level is increased by the number of Spell Counters on this card. You can remove 3 Spell Counters from this card, then target 1 Quick-Play Spell Card in your Graveyard; Set that card to your Spell & Trap Zone. You can only use this effect of “Magical Something” once per turn.

So the card...is actually called..."Magical Something"...
I need a drink.

"Magical Something" Hahaha, that's a great name. It's up there with the likes of Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon.

OT: It's cute and an okay card seeing as it utilises Spell Counters.

I thought the name was a placeholder because we couldn't make out the second word!

I thought the same.

I somehow highly doubt that. What's next?

Paladin Something?

Swordsman Something?

Priestess Something?

Reborn Something?

Mirror Something?

Dragon Something?

Tank Something?

Illusion Something?

"Something-Eyes Any-old-thing Dragon"

"Dark Something Thingamabob"

"Something that Helps with Consistency"

"Something that Deserves a Ban"

"Something Else"

"Special Something"

"Sumfing 4 grammer nazis" (This card is always treated as a "Something" card.)

I honestly don't see how you guys are surprised. if you actually looked at the image closely in the 1st thread, it said The card Magical Something".

And, like...people were talking about how silly the name was, anyway. only the effects were unconfirmed, not the name.

I thought the name was hilarious when I saw it on the Wiki list of the TCG set. I thought that someone for some baffling reason used a placeholder word like "Something" (which is probably against the Wiki standards), so I clicked the link and...that was legitimately the name.

As far as the card itself...I like it. Lets you Set Quickplays from the Graveyard, which is awesome for stuff like Magical Dimension and some of the other DM support. 1800 ATK is solid enough, and the level modifying could cause some cute plays, since 3 Spell Counters makes it Level 7.

I guess someone went lazy mode when naming this card.

So it's Spell Counter support. Nobody will ever use the second effect because they'll be too busy doing level manipulation with the first effect, then using this card for Synchro/Xyz. Recycling scrap like Twin Twisters and the like is always nice, but it's a bit slow.

not too hard to do. the typing is a huge boon. and just one would be enough if you have at least one level 6+ spellcaster that can summon itself. not the greatest of plays, but i can see it happening, chaos sorceror, magical dimension, ect, this card has some interesting uses. in fact, this card + magical dimension would essentially be a resetting, non-targeting, destruction card, that grants you a stronger monster when you pop a monster. even outside of SoDMy plays, i can see some small uses for this card in a specialized spellbook build.

Hey, wait, this thing can end up at LV7, in the same set as the Dark Magician support. Seems like TCG is going back to supporting the OCG themes, at least indirectly.

I remain convinced that somebody in TCG R&D wanted to make "a Magical something" (as in he didn't have an idea for the second word), and he passed it along in a memo looking for ideas. Somebody then mistook it for the finalised name.

That is the only explanation I have for this name.
