Draconus297
Any dumb, silly, or weird experiences with video games can be discussed here for fun's sake. I never completed a single Fluddless level in Super Mario Sunshine, and thus never beat it (I've yet to chase Shadow Mario in any area besides the plaza) but I still managed to see a good chunk of the game. How? 100-coin shines, Blue Coin shines, random things in Delfino Plaza itself, and the fact that I was able to reliably pull off a long and intricate combo of jumps and hover nozzle exploits to get on top of the Shine Gate, thus accessing Pianta Village without a Rocket Nozzle, which pushed me over the required shine count to access Pinna Park. mitchermitcher
I tried half an hour of Undertale at most because I got bored. Also this totally could've been in Video Games. Would've given us some general threads to talk about general vidya-related stuff in.

Nicο
I didn't beat a nuzlocke until I tried it randomized.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
I enjoyed Birthright more than Conquest and think it's overall a better experience.
Maeriberii Haan
I regret shelling money for FE Fates, but thankfully my game now had a better owner.
mitchermitcher
I didn't buy Zero Time Dilemma, I pirated it, and I still regret the experience.
Face McShooty
I bought Fast & Furious Showdown... Dumb confession I know, but if you've ever played it you'll know where I'm coming from. I really enjoyed the F&F movie franchise so when I saw there was a game... I bought it... boy I made a HUUUGE mistake paying money to buy it... Tinkerer
I have yet to beat a single RPG besides Pokemon. And even then, I've never leveled a single Pokemon up to LV 100, so I cannot say I've gotten the full experience. Also, I second the request to move this to VG. Draconus297
I have mained Link and Yoshi in every single Smash Bros. game, with occasional spikes in skill with a particular character depending on changes in the roster or character function between games (Samus, Shulk, Dark Pit, and Robin in Sm4sh)
The Nyx Avatar
I didn't always have memory cards. So I spent a while replaying the first stages of Super Mario Sunshine and other games like that. There was a game where I spent about five hours playing until completion due to lack of a memory card. Fu Manchu
I've never played any Zelda games past the first two ones on the NES. I didn't always have memory cards. I remember spending the entire day playing Luigi's Mansion, and that game had no continues, so I couldn't f*** up once or all my progress would be lost. I raged so hard when I got to the final boss for the first time and died... I did manage to beat it eventually, though, and that was a glorious day. Yui
I used two controllers when playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 so that I could play as both the Republic and the CIS at the same time.

And when I wanted to trade in that game, I recall sometimes only having one controller, so I had to switch it from one slot to the other to trade cards between the two memory cards. Nicο
I didn't always have memory cards. So I spent a while replaying the first stages of Super Mario Sunshine and other games like that. There was a game where I spent about five hours playing until completion due to lack of a memory card. That was basically how I first was able to beat Pokemon Red/Blue on an online emulator that would lose progress when you closed out of it, so I always tried keeping the computer on (maybe sometimes in sleep mode) but it never worked. Everyone else would just shut it down. So of course, with no speed up (iirc), actually beating it the first time took at least twice as long of your five hours, and was probably rushed. I think Blastoise was more overleveled than anyone else so it was even kind of possible that fast. Only other time a starter got so strong before E4 was pretty much Sceptile solo running. Of course I don't remember if it was me or my brother that actually played the ending, but a lot of the times we had to have taken turns during the same playthrough. I've never played any Zelda games past the first two ones on the NES.I've spent the most time on Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks and didn't beat any Zelda game yet. Though I've tried much more than that.

I've actually beaten Sunshine personally, but HOLY sheet THOSE LEVELS ARE EVIL, ESPECIALLY WHEN I WAS A KID. Anyway, confession time: I've only beaten Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker because I had Blessed/Easy Mode turned on. I suck at Strategy RPGs. Agreed. I've never beat a single Legend of Zelda game. And the only Metroid game I ever beat was Zero Mission, despite playing Super, original, Fusion, Prime, and Other M (okay, I beat the final boss, but only because of my cousin's save file). Tinkerer
I've only played the Four Swords Zelda game. And I generally don't look up games I haven't played, so I dunno if that is how Zelda games are or not.

And I generally don't look up games I haven't played, so I dunno if that is how Zelda games are or not.Four Swords is a VERY different game. A lot more co-op oriented. Anyways, more confessions: I suck at real-time games, usually. Turn-based stuff is easier for me because I can actually sit down, focus, and think. The Nyx Avatar
First time I ever beat Resident Evil 2 was in Arrange Mode. Eventually played it in Standard Mode and beat it. I used to own a copy of Superman 64. ...that's it. Just owning a copy should be bad enough right?
