They turn it to a children's card game show, instead of a card slaughter where a giant cycpops-guy can come out of some blue hell dimension and smash you to pieces ( if your bike doesn't malfunction the last second). And it scares me. 1) Judai's duel with Yugi ended prematurely in a brilliant light when Osiris attacked Neos, if I'm not mistaken. 2) Yusei is trying to learn Accel Synchro, a method that lets you travel faster than the speed of light and go back in time. (See Yusei vs Dark Glass)3) The third arc in 5D's has recently introduced an army of evil Riding Roids called Diablo, and the main antagonists are all D-Wheelers. To sum it up, Paradox is a D-Wheeler that knows Accel Synchro, that challenges Yusei to a Riding Duel near the end of the arc. However, when their two Accel Synchro Monsters battle, their monsters cause a time paradox and they are drawn back in time - conveniently to Judai's and Yugi's duel. Paradox reveals himself to be the villain, and the plot gets going. After the trio has won with Savior Eclipse Paladin, Paradox uses the last fragment of his power to scatter them throughout the timeline, explaining the odd ending of GX.
