-Hero Behind Bars [~sabre~]

This card is the sixteenth card in sabre's Exiled Monsters set!

Well, the artowrk is pretty neat, and it goes with the name fine. Does the effect work with it though? Let's analyze.

First, it states all the ways that your opponent can summon a monster. It shouldn't do that. It should just say: "When your opponent Summons a monster...", but that's not a huge deal. You then get the option to switch it to Defense position. Think of how cool this card would be when your opponent played something like Summoned Skull! A normally unkillable card is now easily screwed over. Not only that, but that Summoned Skull loses 500 DEF points. So now it's down to 700. If that's not killable, I don't know what is.

This card works great against superpowerful annoying cards that would normally walk all over you, like Rainbow Dragon. Just discard your card and then next turn, you can just keelkeelkeel. On top of that, this card combos quite well with all the piercing monsters that run rampant in this set. You can Special Summon a 2800 ATK monster, Normal Summon a 2100 ATK monster, and set this card. Next turn, you activate this card and then Normal Summon a DDWarrior with piercing abilities.

So basically, even though this card doesn't really have much to do with Exiled monsters, it can seriously combo very very well with them. It's a great card to be run in an Exiled deck, but it can really work well with any piercing monsters, really... Think Airknight Parshath Exodia type thing. It's basically a killing machine. I love this card.

Errata Changes:

Effect: "When your opponent Summons a monster, discard 1 card from your hand to switch the summoned monster to Defense Position. As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, decrease the DEF of all face-up Defense Position monsters by 500."

The only issue I really have with the effect is that you HAVE to discard the card. There is no option for it. That's not so great =/

What happens when you have no cards in your hand and your opponent summons a monster?

You need to be specific on that.

This card would be Unlimited, as there is nothing really that would make it not be unlimited, lol...

Art – 8.4/10 [it actually looks like it might be used, but doesn't really seem like a hero?]

Name – 8.4/10 [Fits the art, kinda the effect, and sounds like an actual card.]

Effect – 6.7/10 [it doesn't make complete sense... Could be better with a bit of proofreading. Great idea though]

Balance of Level:Stats:Effect – 8.0/10 [Great balance]

Overall – 7.875/10 [31.5/40]

Grade - C+

Verdict – This card could be fantastic if sabre had taken a few more minutes to read over the effect... But it is still a great card nonetheless. Good job!

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card

card only be Special Summoned by Tributing 3 EARTH Monsters.

Each time an EARTH Monster is destroyed, place 2 Earth

Counters on 1 of your opponent's Monsters.

Each time an Earth Counter is placed on a Monster your

opponent controls, inflict 100 damage to your opponent

for each Earth Counter on that Monster.
