If you have an Eevee (and even if you don't, backtracking to Castelia Park shouldn't be too difficult), Vaporeon's a nice choice. Other than that and Floatzel, however, all the good options - Starmie, Walrein and Lapras are just to name a few - don't come up until around the 7th gym.

FAIL. I had a Psyduck in my party the whole time but I forgot somehow. XD

Give Rotom Choice Scarf and replace Thunder with Volt Switch. This makes it a much better scouter. If you really don't like the idea of being stuck on one move as Volt Switch may not always be effective, Trick is also a good option with Flame/Toxic Orb or Choice Scarf. The first two cripple the opponent (preferably Flame to break any of their physical sweepers) and Choice Scarf lets you always hit first if Volt Switch will be effective so you can switch to a more appropriate check or so you can always get in Trick first and stop the opponent's Pokemon in their tracks.

Rotom is built as a bulky sweeper. I'd prefer to give it leftovers, but I already have Haxorus with leftovers. Wasn't there a thing where you couldn't have more than one pokemon hold the same item?

Rocky Helmet Ferrothorn sounds cool, though I would probably rather have Leftovers too...

Putting Leftovers on a sweeper is a terrible idea, for the most part. I'd have Expert Belt, a choice item or Life Orb on a sweeper. While Expert Belt doesn't provide the same power as the other two, if your Pokémon has sufficient coverage, it can gain a consistent boost without any drawbacks.

But really, all of Rotom's sets work best with Volt Switch. And the whole point of Trick and Choice Scarf is to use Rotom's respectable speed to either Outspeed and start a sweep, scout with Volt Switch to inflict damage and send a check to the opponent's Pokémon or use Trick to stop their leading sweeper from setting up or making much progress. Trick usually forces a switch if they don't already have a grass type out, so you can already gain momentum while the opponent struggles to order themselves.

I personally love bulky wash rotom, but if your going sweeper, Trick, Switch, TBolt, App's Attack. With either specs or scarf.

Speaking of Life Orb....
Moves like Drain Punch, they any good in combination with it?
I like the idea, but Hi Jump Kick packs more of a punch.

High-Jump Kick is more derpy in this game, then previous ones.

Previous ones, 'crashing' does like 20 HP.
This game, crashing does 50% of your actual HP.
The hell?

Also, my team doesn't really have anything I would give a Life Orb.
...Except maybe my Golurk, just for gits and shiggles.

Restarted the game in Challenge Mode after using the AR code to unlock it.

Going with a Coil set on Snivy/Servine/Serperoir, who has a Jolly nature.

Just wondering what EV spread I should give it. Smogon has Serperior's coil spread doing a 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe spread. But since I have a Jolly nature, I'm wondering if I should put more in Defense or HP, since Jolly gives it plenty of speed as it is.

Hey guys, gonna retrieve Spiritomb, Snorlax, and Togekiss in-game from Yancy. I always have though Spiritomb was a cool pokemon, and its Defense stats are interesitng as well. And since it was banned from the Wifi OU tier in Pokemon Online, I am hoping to EV train it. Does anyone know a good moveset for it, as well as Snorlax?

Anyone have lucky/unlucky things happen to them in B/W 2?

Unlucky Me:

I find 5% chance of finding type Pokemon almost all the time.
40% chance or that sort almost never appears.
10% Panpour appears like never.
Finally found it.
Weakened it down to around 3/4 with like Tackle.
Then Ember critted, and killed it.
Pokemon is messing with me. .-.

It does, but I can't remember if you'll recover off the Life Orb damage.

Not sure if I remembered the set from Smogon or if I came up with it independently. IMO, if your attacking, that is the best set.

If your a bulky fighting type, you want Drain Punch. Hi Jump Kick is good on those that don't last long.

Spiritomb shouldn't be banned. He's Rarely Used. He is still a solid pokemon though.

I've been getting a VERY high rate of crits in the game. Yea, they are strangely common.

It helps that he has regenerator.

Drain Punch does recover previous Life Orb damage, but Life Orb effect comes after. Anyways. Planned sets for my guys:

Spiritomb
Leftovers

Double Team
Hypnosis
Ominous Wind
Shadow Ball

Snorlax
Leftovers

Rest
Sleep Talk
Ice Punch
Earthquake
Thats how I thought Drain Punch would work.

Teams are solid.
