So characters have options: If your character is in a duel...continue that duel If your character just finished a duel depending on which team you're on. You should be clearing that area out (so when the retreat happens everything goes smoothly) If your character is one of the 2 characters participating in the final boss fight you can probably talk to the other character and probably doing some kind team strategizing when things get popping.
