The Slums Team Karaoke

"Are you two alright?" Lok turned to the Aggron girl that had helped them out. He nodded to her, a weak smile crossing his face. "I am fine, fit as a Fennikin. "Lok, if you need to, here's some berries I picked up, they aren't much but..." She handed him a couple of small, blue berries. He was inclined to reject them, but the aching in his chest started to surface again. "Thank you..." He took the berries from her hands and consumed them. She also gestured towards a guard station. "We're right there, so let's get going." He nodded before following her towards it.

When they reached the guard post, Lok took a sigh of relief and exhaustion, sliding down the wall until he was seated on the floor. He decided to take this time to better inspect his wound. He noticed that he didn't have to remove any article of clothing he had - the Ice Beam had torn a hole right into his jacket and shirt. What resided inside the hole was bruised, purple skin with a light coat of ice on top of it. It was completely numb - no wonder he didn't feel any pain there; he couldn't feel anything in his chest area. "We can keep going this way, to get away from those people, or try and make our way towards the gate. Any preferences?" Lok turned to Gwen. For a second he had completely forgotten about his whole situation. They weren't out of the woods just yet. He got up from the floor. "Well, I'd like to go help the other, but...well..." Honestly, Lok was extremely terrified of Al. Not to mention that he couldn't really help his friends in his condition. Not that he'd be much of a help if he was fine. Subconsciously he grasped his chest. "...I think we should still go to the gate. I know it's dangerous, but..." he sighed. "...I think we should at least make sure they make it out ok..."

Outskirts of Fryst Team Showdown

The people around them seemed to brighten up as the group walked in the market place. Scarlet didn't mind to much, especially not now - she was on a mission to find some sort of blanket to keep herself warm. Eventually, she did find a shop that seemed to have blankets; a small shop owned by two gijinkas - a young gijinka with hair that went from blond to blue and an older gijinka with bright blue hair. Both of there eyes seem to light up as the group approached them. "Hello! Welcome to our shop! How can help you today?" The younger of the two was the first to approach them. "I need a b-blanket..." She was still shivering like a mad women. The lapras gijinka looked at her with a concerned look in her face. "Oh, uh...r-right away!" She turned to the younger one. "Can you go please assist the shivering one?" The amaura nodded, before grabbing Scarlet by the arm and nearly dragged her into the small tent-like building. Inside were a variety of items, including a large variety of blankets and winter coats. "Here are all of our blankets and coats. If you need anything just ask." Scarlet gave her a nod before looking through the blankets. Eventually she found one that caught her eyes - a crimson red blanket with small white patterns all around the edges. "H-How much for this one?" She held it up to the shopkeeper. The amaura grabbed the cloth to examine it before returning it to Scarlet. "That one is..." She waved her hand around while staring at the ceiling in deep thought. "...90 Poke." Scarlet readily gave her the Poke before heading out of the shop, wearing her new blanket around her to keep herself warm. She stood next to Taiga.

Fryst

Taiga still didn't like all the goings on in this winter wonderland.  The outsiders seemed too swift to change their moods about the outsiders...things like that were never ordinary.  Then another thought had crossed her mind...hadn't they entered this damned place to do something other than deliver a pie to some hungry bastard?

"Wait up you two, I'm supposed to stick with you all. You don't want to be found wandering around without an escort on your first day here. Outsiders aren't something we tend to get in these parts, you're lucky our lord loves those pies so much."

Sevda rushed up to the two, as Scarlet had returned from a tent with a red blanket.

"What are they gonna do to us, eh?  I'll have no problem kicking the crap out of whoever tries to pull anything funny just cause I ain't from 'round these parts."  Taiga eyed Sevda suspiciously.  It was as if she knew what happened to the outsiders that came into the city...and let it happen anyways.  Typical type superiorists...it looked like ice gijinka were even worse than the dragons were said to be.  These saps must've been too full of themselves to remember where they came from.  Just a bunch of frozen water types.  Taiga spat onto the snowy ground, which almost froze instantaneously.

"Where are all of you from anyway? And what brings you here. Surely you're not from Oasis, and have more in mind than delivering a pie."

"Sheesh...nosy one ain't ya?  I'm from the ocean...go figure.  I'm a bounty hunter slash drifter kinda gal...I guess you could say I'm the wandering mercenary type."  Taiga wracked her brain to try and find the other reason why they came here....and then it clicked.  The doctor!  They were supposed to be looking around this place for that damned Delcatty that the whiner kept crying about.  Not to mention...might as well get that priceless flute that could summon a legend.  "As a matter of fact, we got more business 'round this place other than giving your lord a pie, but I don't see how that's got anything to do with you."  Taiga moved in front of Isole to keep Sevda from glaring at her.  "And would your eyes wander over to some other poor gijinka?  You're giving Isole over here the willies...not to mention me by proxy."

Adarid City

"We can keep going this way, to get away from those people, or try and make our way towards the gate. Any preferences?" The Mismagius turned to the two of them. Clotilde hastily glanced around at her surroundings. They were in an empty guard station. More like an unguarded station. Perhaps she did have the ability to make jokes after all. Outside behind them, the group of people left behind began to stall the Nidoking's charge even further with a rain of fireballs while seemingly heading in a slightly different direction.

As for herself and her two tentative companions, they could either go straight ahead deeper in, or head back for the gate instead.

"...I think we should still go to the gate. I know it's dangerous, but...I think we should at least make sure they make it out ok..."

"My aim in helping you two out was in order to reach the exit in the fastest manner possible. I would rather we attempt for the gate as well." She added on. "With that said, the rest of your companions seem to be heading somewhere else. We could also keep going this current path and reunite with them later before attempting the exit again. While retreating now would lose us the initiative we took earlier, we'll also have time to prepare for a counterattack. I think that's preferable, since we've on the defensive right now."

Location: Flooded lake (Team Mac, Day 10)

Poke: 350

Inventory: Poke Puff Bag (empty), Berry Case (contains 5x Spelon Berries)

Just as suddenly as it had started, the rain was coming to an end. However, the struggle was not. The water was pulling at them, as if it had a mind of its own and was trying to drown everybody. Unacceptable. Kah didn't combat the legendary Regirock and later deal with Edgelord more or less on her own, just to die in a lake somewhere. More importantly, however, were the whelps. They weren't faring as well as the dragons, which - while perfectly reaosnable - was a problem. They needed saving.

"Save them!"

And it seemed Kazo agreed. "You thought I wouldn't!?" Now the question was how to do it. Kah wasn't the best swimmer, and even if she got to Ari and Mac, what next? Climb a tree with them on her back? ...well, there were definitely worse ideas. And so, she swam, compensating for slow swimming with sheer strength to move her along in bursts. It took a few strokes, but she eventually reached the tree trunk the two were on, her hands clasping down upon it as if she could somehow stop the trunk from moving with raw strength alone.

"You two are coming with me," the Hydreigon said, turning her hands over to allow Ari and Mac to take them with their own hands.

Team Sexual Tension
Xerneas' Sanctum

"Wait... so you're just gonna stay here and...?" it was at this time that Beatrice had realized that the Whimsicott Gijinka was still there lying unconscious, "Oh... I see now. But seriously, you two should get to a safe place. We'll handle Jabari and James... well, I hope we can..."

Regardless, Beatrice had already taken off, charging forward into the trees and undergrowth until she could locate James, Jabari or either of her teammates. Even with her running however, there was still a long way to go before she'd be able to find any of them, and if she had to guess, she was still a mile or two out. But eventually she got herself into a battle. Here, the legendary Xerneas could be seen in the distance, who looked to be under attack. That meant of course that Denku and Fjanna would be on the defending side, and it looked as though they were only fighting Jabari. However, there was an Absol present as well, and she could be seen... helping Denku and Fjanna? What did she have to gain from Jabari's death? Did Fjanna convince her to help out? And how could she put any amount of trust for a Dark-type to follow through with her request like that, let alone so much? There were so many other questions running through Beatrice's mind. However...

"I don't have time for this..." with that, Beatrice climbed up a tree, and hopped from branch to branch until she got close to Jabari, who looked to be gunning straight for Xerneas. And then, while he'd been stopped in his tracks by the others, Beatrice made one last mighty jump, descending onto Jabari and bringing both lances down on each shoulder. That alone would hurt like Yveltal's domain, but Beatrice wasn't done with her act of revenge just yet.

"Alright you bastard, I'm giving you one chance and one chance only," she prepared to pump poison into Jabari's bloodstream from both lances as she said this, in case he wouldn't comply with her demand, "Tell me where James is(!), and I'll make your death a lot less painful than I want to right now."

More silence ensued as Cabrakan returned the photo he had in hand back up onto the fireplace shelf. Bubble, meanwhile, was evidently looking around the house for a couple of minutes, but hadn't been able to find what... or rather who in this case, she wanted to see.

"Hmm... Darwin should've been back by now," she mumbled as she was still looking, before turning to Cabrakan, "I'm gonna go to the market area for a while."

"I'm coming with you," said Cabrakan, as he followed his daughter out the door.

...

Sure enough, both of them traveled together inside the market area. There were still a whole bunch of people; which would come to no surprise as it was a market. But there was no sign of Darwin anywhere. Or Scarlet, Taiga or Isole for that matter.

"As much as I appreciate the reunion... there's another reason why I'm here in Fryst," Cabrakan stated, "I can't give you the exact reason just yet. Not here; I don't want this information going into the wrong person. But I can tell you that I've come with colleagues."

"Oh? And where are they now?" Bubble asked.

"Hmm..." Cabrakan scanned around the place as they kept walking, before laying eyes on Scarlet purchasing a blanket, "There's one over there. But there were four of us."

Eventually, after some more scouting around, Cabrakan and Bubble managed to find Taiga and Isole... as well as a certain someone that neither was expecting to be present. In between the two ladies was a dark-skinned Abomasnow Gijinka that Bubble was quick to recognize.

"Ooooohh sheet. That's funking Sevda!" she cursed, but before Cabrakan could scold her for it... "She's the captain of the guard, Dad! Don't tell me...!"

"I'll handle it, Bubble," Cabrakan intervened, "Wait here,"

With that, Bubble rolled her eyes and clasped her mouth with a sigh, as Cabrakan began to approach Sevda in an attempt to resolve the situation that Taiga and Isole found themselves in. Of course, Taiga wasn't helping as per usual, so Cabrakan had to assume she was somehow at fault... as per usual.

"Look, this must be a misunderstanding..." Cabrakan told Sevda, looking at Taiga square in the eyes, then pointing at her as he returned his attention back to Sevda, "...probably on her end. Just tell me what caught your attention so I know the full situation at hand."

"Head of household. I ask you. Where is Kyurem? Upon failure of knowledge on that location. Where is this Godslayer?"

Brooke’s arm fell back down to her side after firmly shaking the Deoxys’ hand (??), and she stared at it in confusion. Kyurem? Where have I heard that before?  she asked herself. As a merchant, she had talked to a wide variety of folk from all over the continent. She vaguely recalled a. . . was it a Beartic? She thought it had been. He had been in the town on some kind of business trip from Fryst, and told her the legend of a powerful, bloodthirsty Gijinka, who called the dangerous caverns of Mount Icecrown its home. That’s what he said the thing's name was. Kyurem… One of the Gijinka so powerful, it's the stuff of legends.

She wasn’t sure what a “Godslayer” was, and hoped that what little she did know would suffice. “I don’t know what a Godslayer is, but I heard something about Kyurem once.” Brooke adjusted the rim of her hat anxiously, still on the edge from just being in the presence of Deoxys. “A Beartic from Fryst told me about it once, when he was in Denku. He said that there was a rumor that Kyurem lives inside Mount Icecrown, and has for a long time.” She shuddered a bit thinking how strong a Gijinka would have to be to survive in such an uninhabitable place. It was always so cold… “I can’t tell you how true that is, but maybe it isn’t a bad place to start looking?”

[spoiler=Notes]

I've got no idea if that's the monster you were implying to be in Mount Icecrown, but figured maybe someone had thought it was before. Also, I haven't been to bed yet so totally counts as being on time.

Day 11, Deku

The Lucario Godslayer walked into the destroyed city, stepping over the corpses and debris he sensed in his way. He had a very specific goal in mind and he was glad to note that there was no signs of life anywhere in the city. As he reached the center of the city he tilted his head skyward. He could sense the power that was laying in wait there. However its form was unusual, not what he had expected, and it seemed content with just floating there and not reacting to his presence.

But the power he sensed was clearly that of a Legend. One that he vaguely recognized, from what he had learned about them. Why Thundurus wasn't doing anything was beyond him but it wouldn't change his course of action.

Lucario gathered aura in his hand and launched it straight up into the center of the mass of energy in the sky. It collided, and passed through it, without much of a change. He could tell the attack had been felt but nothing beyond that.
"I was under the impression that Thundurus was not a coward until now." He spoke calmly, almost off-hand. And the cloud started to rumble.

A flash of lightning and suddenly Thundurus was standing before Lucario, in his Gijinka form. "A mortal dares to call me a coward? You will regret that, tiny man."

Lucario didn't speak, but simply shifted into a battle-ready position, and waited.
And then Thundurus attacked.

Team Karaoke, Adarid City, Day 10

Fiona grimaced as the cold area on her back began to sting. That was stupid. She didn't even like the psycho and she had done that, Arceus be damned she was a moron wasn't she?

"Fiona! Are you alright? You...you don't have to do this..."

Fiona wanted to snap at Alleria but stopped mid-way. She was supposed to be playing nice now, right? Why...why was that again? She couldn't recall. Shaking her head Fiona said. "No...er, yeah. Don't worry. I uh...I..." How could she explain that she had taken that attack fairly well when not long ago she couldn't even walk without tripping?

"the library. We'll go there."

The mention of the library distracted Alleria, and Fiona, enough to drop the conversation. Library...that's where...An aching pain shot through her head, and her heart felt as it was being gripped in a vice, for a few moments and she barely noticed when Nine grabbed her arm and began to drag her along.

"I'd rather you not fight me on this madam,"

She could have tore her arm away from Nine, as she had Alleria, but...This man seemed like he was strong. If he was on her side, she could be sure that Alleria didn't try anything...like what she remembered from last night. "Ah, thank you...sir." She muttered shyly, cringing at her own words. They felt hollow, she wasn't able to fake it as well as before. Ah well, hopefully the situation would cover for her.

Al stopped as he saw the attack coming towards him, and sneered. He brought his hands up to block the attack, moving slowly and advancing. He glanced back at his crew, who seemed to be shaking off the effect that had left them unable to move. There was only three of them, and Al's group was many. They couldn't run for long...

And that was when the city of Adarid was beset by a sudden hailstorm. Large chunks of ice began to fall from the sky, buffeting everyone not in shelter, and Al's crew were struck again and again.
The Nidoking roared as he kept up his pursuit. They would have to seek shelter too, and the library was the closest place for that. Even if it was hard to see, he knew where to go. Grabbing up a couple of his nearest crew he advanced through the storm.

Fiona finally broke away from Nine once the hail began to fall. But only to cover her head as the chunks struck her. She yelped as her shoulders stung with the impact. Thankfully the library, with its many buildings, was nearby and she burst through the door and into the shelter.

"Well, I'd like to go help the other, but...well...I think we should still go to the gate. I know it's dangerous, but......I think we should at least make sure they make it out ok..."

Gwen frowned. The poor child. He was hurt, and wanted to leave, but still was hoping to help their friends. Gwen could relate. It was scary, and those three were all on their own right now. Add to that Fiona and Alleria's....issues with each other, which she still wasn't entirely sure on, and Nine's relative stranger-ness...She shook her head. "They will be alright. You saw how they can fight." Gwen's smile slipped as she realized she was talking as though fighting skill was a positive. She prayed she wasn't starting to get used to it.

"I thank you for this help. It's Starly needed...a-anyway. I...would rather not attack, at all, if we can help it. I suppose that settles it. We'll make a break for the gate. The others should be coming along eventually so that would be a good place to meet up. I can't imagine things could be this bad there..."

Decision made, Gwen floated out of the guard station, looking around to see if there were any threats nearby. Noticing it was clear she gestured for the others to follow, and headed towards the gate as fast as she could go, without losing the heavier Aggron girl. Not long after they left, hail suddenly rained down upon them for several minutes, and Gwen moved towards Lok and tried to cover the injured boy with her own body. Thankfully it didn't last long, but the ice chunks had been quite large, and she now had several welts on her body.

Gwen had almost forgotten how large this city was, and it was a matter of hours before they reached the gate. As Gwen had hoped, the largest amount of the fighting was nearer to the center of the city.

Reaching the gate, they would find that there was a large mob of people pushing and shoving at the guards, wanting to get behind them and closer to the gates. Which, as Gwen noticed the gates were firmly shut, seemed pointless.

Over the din of the crowd, one of the guards, a nervous young Lucario, spoke up. "E-everyone it will be okay. We cannot open the gates, for the city is on lockdown due to the, uh, incident. However there are safehouses set up. This station isn't equipped to hold so many. If you could just head towards the guard station towards the south, we can provide transport, just...please...c-calm down!"

Gwen noticed that off to the side were several covered wagons, which would be used to bring anyone who wanted to the guard station, where hopefully they would be safe from the rioting. Gwen thought it might be a good idea, and hoped that if the others went this way they'd be sent there as well. Of course, if they could manage to convince these guards to let them in here, that might be even better. Gwen had no idea how to go about that, however. She pondered it as the mob began to settle and break off, some climbing aboard wagons, some just wandering off on their own.

Team Sexual Tension, Xerneas' Sanctum, Day 8

As Jabari moved to attack Xerneas, the Pupitar moved his body in the way. Their blows collided with each other. Jabari was clearly the stronger but his electric attacks were weakened when faced with Denku's Ground type body. But it was clear that of the two the one who'd outlast was Jabari.
That is until the strings wrapped themselves around him. He shuddered, pausing, as the strings slowed him down. He continued to attack despite this, though it was slower.

Then Xerneas grabbed Denku by the shoulder and tossed him aside, stepping forward to take Jabari's attacks instead, barely even flinching as the powerful attacks collided with their body, despite the damage obviously being done.

With his target before him, Jabari grew even fiercer. His ferocity would make it seem that he wouldn't be able to notice the attack upon his leg. However, he had expected such a thing, having been struck there multiple times now, and shifted his stance as the blade cut through the side of his leg instead.
He grunted. He had to keep going, he had to defeat Xerneas before that thing happened again. Jabari glanced over at the statue beside them, and distracted himself from the sudden attack from above.

"Tell me where James is(!), and I'll make your death a lot less painful than I want to right now."

He roared in response and spun, arm connecting with Bea's side and sending her skidding across the ground.

And then the statue activated. A flash of light and a pulse of energy launched from it, striking Jabari. He cried out in alarm and anger...as his wounds began to heal. The damage he had taken vanished, and soon he was fully healed once more.

The pulse had been centered on Jabari, but the others would find themselves slightly less injured as well.

Jabari, still covered in string, turned back to Xerneas. "Why!? Let me fight you with honor; stop this madness Bringer of Life!" He cried out, a different kind of pain in his voice.

And finally, Xerneas spoke. Her voice was light, almost musical, but there was a frighteningly powerful undertone as well. "Mortals. This fighting is pointless. Why hasten your deaths by battle? This is not how it should be."

"Shut up!" Jabari yelled. "I can't stop now. There are many things that aren't how they should be, Bringer of Life, but with your death I can change that." He thrust his hand forward and launched a shockwave along the ground, which shot up from the ground under Xerneas and send a jolt of electricity through her body. She swayed and almost fell to a knee, before regaining her footing, and shaking her head sadly at Jabari.

Team Mac, Crystal Lake, Day 10

Kazo would find the current much stronger now that he was under the water. He was being dragged, dragged, faster and faster. Water crashed around him, threatening to crush the boy, as he was pulled along. He's soon realize that he wasn't in control of his passage anymore. If he were to look, before Suiten grabbed him and brought him back, he might be able to notice that the lake's floor seemed to be littered with...something. And that there was what looked like a partially covered hole in the bottom of the lake, where the water flow seemed to be headed. But he wouldn't have much time to observe it, given the force that he had been pulled, with Suiten bringing him back to the surface.

With Mac lifting Ari up towards the surface, he would easily be able to grab Kah's hand. Mac, however, was barely able to even see the woman's offered hand as the water suddenly sucked her in. It seemed the water flow was slowing somewhat, but Mac was small, and had used up most of her energy, during her ill-advised rescue.

Team Showdown, Fryst, Day 11

"She was kind of cute." The Aurorus shopkeep said as Scarlet left the shop. "But she'd look better in green..."

"You say that about EVERYone."

---

"What are they gonna do to us, eh?  I'll have no problem kicking the crap out of whoever tries to pull anything funny just cause I ain't from 'round these parts."

Sevda shrugged. "Never know, people get weird when they're nervous. Gotta make sure nothing happens don't I? Not much trouble happens around here anyway, might as well do something with my job hey?"

"Sheesh...nosy one ain't ya?  I'm from the ocean...go figure.  I'm a bounty hunter slash drifter kinda gal...I guess you could say I'm the wandering mercenary type. As a matter of fact, we got more business 'round this place other than giving your lord a pie, but I don't see how that's got anything to do with you. And would your eyes wander over to some other poor gijinka?  You're giving Isole over here the willies...not to mention me by proxy."

Sevda nodded along as Taiga spoke. Bounty hunter. Hmm. "Not many bounties round these parts, might be able to point you somewhere if I got some time. Whatever you need doing, I probably can help you do it. Course as long as it's not illegal you can take your time with it. This place is the safest city in Adarid, and that's the truth."

At mention of Isole, Sevda glanced back at the girl. "Shut up." Isole said to Taiga with a sigh, as she looked off towards the distance, avoiding Sevda's gaze.

"Look, this must be a misunderstanding...probably on her end. Just tell me what caught your attention so I know the full situation at hand."

"Who in the world...Oh, you're uh. Damn I know this one...Cabaret? Yeah that's it right, you're that guy, the uh...Well honestly not sure I know you all that well, hard to keep the names of the non-troublemakers straight with all the people we've been getting. Not sure what you're...oh, you must know them, then? Well that makes this easier." She looked at Taiga. "Could've told me you had a guide ya know. Eh, oh well, least I got to meet someone. You two got all you need now? Should be heading to the tower soon, get that pie to the lord before it gets too late and supper's long past." She looked at Cabrakan. "How bout you, might as well come along too eh? Not everyone gets to meet his lordship in person these days."

Day 11, two days from Coldharbour

The Froslass knelt at the ice, running their hand over it. "It's here." They muttered, and stood back up. They brought forth the rod and slammed it into the ground in front of them. They had watched that group leave, heading for Fryst, and knew they wouldn't be a problem. And their lackeys would have been able to keep that pirate ship busy and on a wild goose chase for long enough. The time had come.

"They wanted this one to be a servant. But this one is meant for much greater things. This one was meant to be a god. And now, this one shall prove it."

A pulse of aura spread over the ice, emanating from the rod. And another, another. A dozen pulses in quick succession before something happened.

The ground trembled, and cracked, and then suddenly a pillar of ice thrust through the ground, twenty feet high, practically crackling with energy. And in the middle of the ice, a figure. One that had not been seen for many years.

The Froslass stared, shuddered, and smiled as the figure's eyes opened.

Team Neo Not Dark, edge of tundra, Day 11

Dora placed her chin on Fawkes' head as she watched the weird conversation. She swayed back and forth slightly, following the movements of Deoxys' tentacles. "I wonder how they work. Whachu think, Fawkes? Is it magic?" Dora asked the smaller girl excitedly.

Deoxys looked at Easter. "Sissy is a term I'm not familiar with. One moment." It paused, looked away, then back. "What an unusual term to use with the head of the household. I assume your relationship is having troubles. I cannot help with this, unfortunately, any more than I can help with sweets." It was hard to tell, with the tone, but Deoxys almost sounded like they regretted this.

It's gaze settled on Brooke as the Emboar answered their question. It learned forward, as if trying to determine the truth just from Brooke's facial features. "Mount Icecrown. This location is known. Please give me a moment to scan." It then turned in the direction of the mountain and lights started to run through its body.

Moments later it turned. "Signal detected. But not the signal desired. A lie to throw me off. No. Body language indicates otherwise. You just do not know. Unfortunate...." Its head shot up suddenly, as it turned in the direction of Deku. "Energy spike. Two powerful auras. A battle. Thundurus under assault? I must...hold." It then turned towards the south. "Sensors picking up activity. Familiar. Ancient. Dangerous." It paused, trying to determine its course, for a while.

"What's up space thingy?" Dora asked innocently, capturing Deoxys' attention.
"Your direction indicates you are heading towards Coldharbour. One of my targets is in that direction. I can only go to one. Logically that should be the direction, as you also are going that way, it is convenient."

Deoxys moved past the group suddenly, rudely, and stopped a few feet away. "I shall assist." Suddenly it wrapped its tentacles around each of the group and lifted them, straining slightly as it held the combined weight. Its body seemed to shift then, grow sleeker, more aerodynamic, and it suddenly rocketed off in the direction of Coldharbour.

The wind bit at the group as they were suddenly pulled along at impossible speeds across the ice, traveling miles in moments, moving faster than they had expected possible. They moved for hours, being held tight by the tentacles, as the world whipped around them. If they paid attention, hours later, they would find themselves passing over a river, as Deoxys finally started to slow. It didn't get much farther than the river before stopping, and depositing the shaken group.

"Let's do it again!" Dora cried out happily, taking a step, and falling on her face.

"Inadvisable." Deoxys said, sounding worn. "Need rest before confronting target. Expended much energy...You may go where you wish now." Deoxys said. There was an odd tone in their voice, almost as though they'd be sad to see them go.

"Hey, Fiona! Wait up! Is there anything wrong?!"

Alleria sounded like she was worried. Fiona seemed to be trying her best to avoid her, and Nine, to a lesser extent. Was she still hurt from last night? Did she hate her for what she did last night, if she lost herself in rage like usual? Not even bothered to realize the fact that she was clearly bleeding from the hail that was coming harshly, Alleria rushed in an attempt to catch up to Fiona, even using an instance of Dragon Dance as she ran so she gained enough speed to catch up after staying behind for a while to slow down Al's progress.

"Nine, we'll meet up and try figure out a plan once we get into the middle building! If necessary, that can be our stronghold for the time being."

After mentioning this to Nine as she passed him, her mind returned to focus on getting into the complex of library building following Fiona. She wanted to ask her why was she avoiding her. She wanted to say sorry if she hurt the Drapion last night. Alleria wouldn't be able to bear it if their relationship ended like this. Rushing through the door, there was little that stood in Alleria's way on the room  as she had focused all her effort to go through the wooden walkways that separated the buildings.

"Fiona, wait up!"

She screamed as loud as she could. She didn't know whether Fiona was taking an alternate route through all these smaller buildings to get away from Al...or from her. She had no idea where she was going now. She just going forward towards any way that she could find, in hope of catching a glimpse of her girlfriend as Alleria continued to call her name. Passing the table on a room, she crashed through it and continued her chase, into another walkway, and shortly after, she reached a different kind of building than before. That was it, the main Library building. Something inside of her stirred at its sight, but she put it aside as she ran towards its door and broke in.

She had promised to not let Fiona get hurt again. Thus, to keep her promise, Alleria had to find her first before Al or his goons could find her. She had protected her before, and now it's her turn. She would really hate herself if she couldn't protect Fiona this time.

After all, the kind of person she hated the most were liars.

"I see."

Fjanna, still perched on Jabari's back as she continued to restrain and wrestle the Zebstrika, reacted flatly at how Xerneas ended up healing him back to full health. Her and her strings' grip on him didn't weaken, but she seemed to understand what was Xerneas trying to say here. She decided to not continue her attempt to strangle Jabari to death just yet using her strings as she watched the continuation on the events that unfolded here.

"What kind of goal do you seek by killing the Bringer of Life, Jabari? This is not my battle, but Mother had given me the order to step in to stop such things from happening.

Xerneas didn't wish for this battle to continue, and to tell the truth, none of us here really had any stakes here, except you. But as your wish is to end her, then I'll continue standing in your way. And kill you, if I have to."

Fia took a deep breath to clear her foggy head from any distractions. The wave of healing earlier also healed her and the others for a considerable amount. She could see Bea and Denku doing well, which put a smile on her face. Each second that passed, and more strings came out from her staff. Right now it had enveloped her like a cocoon as she stubbornly latched on Jabari. His wild movement broke many strings, but more came to replace what he had broken. Each second that passed, and she could feel that the Fire called her more and more.

She couldn't agree to Xerneas' mindset.

Without death, there couldn't be any life. Without life, there couldn't be death. For one to live, another must die. That was what her fire actually was. Creation after destruction. Starting over from zero. Hastening her death by battling? For that stupid deer to live, something must die! Or would she rather die just for a hollow moral victory? Just to prove a point, while leaving everything else in jeopardy? Isn't that selfish?

Though perhaps, to live really means to be selfish.

Atop the raging horse, an ember started to to be lit. No matter who said it, Fia refused to accept it as the truth. That settled it. No matter how many times Xerneas stubbornly healed Jabari, Fia would knock him down that many times. Even if her fire faded, she would find a way.

Kazo was surprised how powerful the current was. He could barely move as he was tossed and turned. He felt pretty sure he wouldn't make it... Arceus, why did he even try? He then noticed something... there was littering the ground... he wasn't sure what it was though. And there was a hole in the lake... it was partially covered... but that made no sense... how was there a lake if a hole was right in the center...?

Oh right. Air. He needed that. He could feel himself losing strength, and the rims of his vision was beginning to darken. He supposed he wasn't going to make it... he had to wonder what they would put on his tombstone. Pfft... yeah right, like anyone would actually take the time to make him one...

He suddenly felt himself being pulled out of the current. Oh yeah, Suiten was a water type... that was a thing. Oops.

"What..." Suiten reprimanded, interrupted by both of them loudly gasping for air, "in blue blazes...is wrong with you?" Kazo shook his head.

"I don't know. I just thought I could help or something. Yeah, heat of the moment, was trying to be more than what I really am," He mutter as he inhaled. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I'll try to remember my place in the future," He shook his head. "Oh yeah! I saw... something down there... things, littering the ground, and a hole in the center of the lake!" That seemed important.

Denku felt himself slowing, but he would keep going until the very last drop of strength. Or until the person he was protecting grabbed him by the shoulder and threw him to the side. He landed on his shoulder and felt a sharp pain. Holding in a cry of pain, Denku gripped his shoulder and stood up slowly. He was coming off an adrenaline high, and his body was finally screaming in pain. He felt sharp pains in his chest, his legs felt like stone as he tried to stand, and of course, his shoulder was in pain. He just wanted to flop over and pass out.

But then... the woman thing did some glowing voodoo mumbo jumbo on a statue... and then suddenly... he felt a little better. Instead of being in the red, he was now in the yellow... better, but not at hundred percent. Then again... he was never at hundred percent... The bad news was, Jabari was at hundred percent after that.

"What the bloody hell?" Denku muttered as he stumbled forwards a bit, holding on to his now sore shoulder. "I don't know exactly what's going on... but if no one's going to explain themselves, then I'll just keep throwing myself into it until I die, no matter how many times that woman heals you, Jabari!" he paused to catch his breath. "Now, are you going to give me an Arceus-damn explanation, or am I going to have to just pound you all over again?"

The Slums Team Karaoke

"They will be alright. You saw how they can fight." Well, she wasn't wrong. He wasn't sure about Nine since technically he hadn't actually seen him fight, but he could only assume, and he was aware that Alleria was a tough cookie. And of course, he was well informed about how strong Fiona was. He shuddered, moving his hand from his chest to his sides. "I don't feel well with leaving Alleria alone with them..." he blurted under his breath spitefully, before putting his hand on his mouth. Hopefully no one would catch that; the last thing the situation needed was a negative atmosphere. He followed Gwen closely as the group decided to go to the gate. Shortly after leaving the guard post, however, a sudden flurry of hail struck them. At first, Lok felt the ice pelting his back as he floated on the ground. He dove low and place his arms above his head. However, he would soon feel a lot less of the hail - only feeling the hail pelting his legs. He looked up and noticed that Gwen was floating above him, intercepting the harsh ice that was falling from the sky. Luckily, the hail didn't last long, but it was clear that the radical weather had its toll on Gwen and, to a lesser extent, the Aggron girl. "Are you both ok?" He said, fear and concern in his voice. While the question was aimed at both of them, it was clear that he was much more concerned about Gwen, who was covered in bruises.

. . .

Eventually they found the gates...and they were shut. Even if they weren't shut, they would have a hard time actually reaching their destination - a large and angry mob had formed in front of the gate, probably for the same reason why they came. The guards barely seemed to be able to contain the mob, as a nervous looking Lucario guard spoke up. "E-everyone it will be okay. We cannot open the gates, for the city is on lockdown due to the, uh, incident. However there are safehouses set up. This station isn't equipped to hold so many. If you could just head towards the guard station towards the south, we can provide transport, just...please...c-calm down!"
"We should find the others and get into one of those wagons..." He said, pointing at one of the covered wagons. "You said they were heading towards the Library, right?" He turned to the Aggron, sighing. "We should probably go pick them up, or something...I dunno..." He said, kicking up a rock. Honestly, he was lost. All he knew, however, was that they needed to leave this place as soon as possible. All of them.

Outskirts of Fryst Team Showdown

When Scarlet returned, she noticed that both Taiga and Sevda were in a middle of a conversion. "What are they gonna do to us, eh?  I'll have no problem kicking the crap out of whoever tries to pull anything funny just cause I ain't from 'round these parts."
"Never know, people get weird when they're nervous. Gotta make sure nothing happens don't I? Not much trouble happens around here anyway, might as well do something with my job hey?" She was a bit lost, although it was probably because she missed out the first part of the conversation. "Where are all of you from anyway? And what brings you here. Surely you're not from Oasis, and have more in mind than delivering a pie." After Taiga answered, Scarlet followed suit. "I'm from the city of Mowloo, and, well...I guess nomad would be the word to describe me?" She shrugged. "I've just kind of wandered around the region ever since I could. As for why we're here, well..." She probably shouldn't mention their search for the doctor to Sevda. For some reason, she didn't seem to trust her enough. "...its simply another place on the map to explore, ya know?" At this point, she was nudging Sevda lightly from underneath her blanket. It was then she noticed someone in the background...a rather familiar purple-haired gijinka. She also noticed the girl that was next to him. "Yo!" She seemed to shout, waving at the direction of Cabrakan as he walked towards them.

Well that makes this easier. Could've told me you had a guide ya know. Eh, oh well, least I got to meet someone. You two got all you need now? Should be heading to the tower soon, get that pie to the lord before it gets too late and supper's long past. How bout you, might as well come along too eh? Not everyone gets to meet his lordship in person these days." Scarlet nodded, before dashing towards Cabrakan. She got close to him - closer than she had intended, but that was simply because of his natural heat. After all, while the blanket was helping tons, she was still shivering. "So, Cab...who's the girl?" She said in a curious tone, pointing at the direction of the girl that seemed to join Cabrakan. She also turned to Taiga and Isole. "So...how about we go shopping? After all, it wouldn't be fair if I were the only one to go shopping, right?" She said this to both of them, although she threw out a wink specifically to Taiga. This would be a great time to go search for information about the missing doctor. She turned to Cab. "It should go without saying, but you're obviously free to join us, Cab."

As the trio continued to run away from the ground type pursuers, it seemed that whatever it was that Alleria had done as a distraction worked out pretty well. Well, he assumed that it did as he didn't feel any looming threats of earth flying at him. Nine didn't really pay any mind to what the girl had said, simply being too busy with his thoughts on what the best building of the library would be in order to dodge the pursuers, and simply continued running along the path. However, as he dragged the drapion along, he eventually felt her wrench herself from his grip, which had loosened for the very reason that she needed the arm to begin with. Nine did not feel all that great, having been struck with an earthquake and now being pelted by large chunks of ice that fell from the sky...wait...what?

As Nine was getting pelted by hail, he suddenly realized that it wasn't cold, nor was it all that cloud, nor was this place Fryst. Nine had a look of bewilderment cross his face as the frozen water continued to rain from the sky and wonder just what it was that caused it, as he didn't really understand why anyone would want to just cause hail to start randomly falling if it was by just a regular gijinka's doing, but realized that trying to figure it out, while getting hit by it, was probably not the best of ideas. So instead, he continued to run alongside the drapion girl until she finally burst through a door, getting into one of the buildings in the large complex known as "the library."

As he followed in there, he slowed his pace to match her coming to a complete stop. Catching his breath for a bit, and being a bit relieved that he was no longer in some freak weather storm he muttered, "that was weird, but whatever." Getting himself composed he then said, "alright, well, we probably shouldn't stay still because who knows whether or not they'll follow us in here. So, we should probably-," Nine stopped short as he around with a bit of a confused look on the face, looking for something in the building that clearly wasn't there. Turning to the drapion, a look of disbelief on his face, he said, "where did Alleria go?" He wasn't quite sure how the girl got split up from them. They had been running together the whole time, but he supposed whatever it was she did for a distraction just caused her to get split up from them. With barley any time to answer, he then went on saying, "alright, well she's probably got herself lost here so that's just great. Ah well, she's a big girl, can probably handle herself.Thinking back to it, the girl seemed plenty tough and resilient to not be in too much trouble with anything that wasn't Al's gang that got in her way...probably.

"Anyway, you,"he looked back to the drapion, "Fiona, was it? Anyway, as a poison type you share my slight disdain with fighting ground types, right? And this place is basically a labyrinth as it is, so I'd rather not look for a needle in a haystack with buzz saws behind all the while. So, let's just get back to moving because I don't want to get caught by Al and his crew, that sounds pretty unpleasant really, and we'll just see if we can find Alleria after we're for sure safe from them." Walking his way over to the door opposite to the one he came in, he looked to Fiona and said, "shall we?"

Adarid City
At some point after the three resolved to head over to the gate it began to hail. Heavily. And despite how abnormally large the city was, the streets were wide enough, with too little cover, that falling ice drops would still hit them as they ran towards their destination. "How highly unusual." If not for her maid training she likely would have shouted. "Despite wishing to leave since earlier this morning, I now am running along with a couple of strangers as it hails in broad daylight. Splendid."

There was little she could do to protect herself from the weather hazard. She had a 'skill' that would make her entirely immune to physical impact, such as those from a chunk of ice falling on her. The skill however would render her immobile for the one-second duration it was active and would slow her running speed considerably. Clotilde gritted her teeth, she could do little but endure. Next to her, the Mismagius girl covered the smaller Rotom boy from the brunt of the damage as they ran along. If she had an umbrella in the suitcase under her skirt, Clotilde could've at least given it to the two but she had no such thing.

The hailstorm soon ended, and before she could question the strange weather phenomenon further, "Are you both ok?" said the Rotom, addressed moreso to his companion. Regardless she took a look at her well-being as well. Her granny skirt was badly tattered, surely damaged by the hail. She felt her legs protected at first back when they ran but by the time the weather returned to normal, there were a few scratches below her knees, most likely from her skirt losing its fabric thus unable to cover them. For the sake of public decency and herself, thankfully her thighs were still covered so she felt no immediate need to change into her spare uniform but nevertheless her state of dress was unbecoming, unmaidenly. Her suitcase that she hid was now visible, held in place behind her legs and it made her look strange more than anything, so she took it into her hands.

"I'm not as injured as your companion, at least. Here." She very slightly opened her case and withdrew some bandages from within. "It is not much but if you'll allow me, I shall apply some basic first aid."

When they arrived at the gate area, they found it packed full and more importantly, closed. It was probably the worst scenario for her goal of leaving the city. Around the area were many wagons prepared to transport them to a fairly safe place, a guard station.

Even if it was actually guarded this time she would honestly rather not.

"We should find the others and get into one of those wagons...You said they were heading towards the Library, right? We should probably go pick them up, or something...I dunno..."

"Should the wagons take us to the library then I concur, I suppose. I don't believe anyone has actually said your other companions were heading there but the library does feel like a likely location to reunite, strangely enough."

"You two are coming with me," Ari barely heard the Hydreigon's words, though he did get the gist of it. Enough that he stretched his arm out, fingers weakly gripping her hand. "I...thanks," he spluttered, suddenly realizing he seemed to have swallowed half the lake. He felt sick, but he was alive, and that counted. When he felt more reassured of his safety, he looked around. "Wh-where's Mac?" he shivered, cold from the water despite the southern heat.

Meanwhile, Suiten was currently wondering exactly why he was traveling with these people. Well, that Helioptile could be fairly convincing when needed. Not to mention the others. Hydreigon were rare, powerful creatures, and Garchomp were as well. Both of these people would probably go far. In fact, the only one who he felt was in over his head was that Litleo. However, it seemed he needed to reconsider some things, as apparently the Gabite was, in fact, suicidal.

"I don't know. I just thought I could help or something. Yeah, heat of the moment, was trying to be more than what I really am," Kazo muttered, causing the Samurott's eyes to widen in surprise. So he wasn't suicidal, but instead overconfident? And yet, that didn't seem to make sense. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I'll try to remember my place in the future." What was that supposed to mean? His place? What place? Was he trying to say he was inferior? "Oh yeah! I saw... something down there... things, littering the ground, and a hole in the center of the lake!"

"...So what you're trying to say is you figured you could, uh, somehow overcome a lake? I don't understand how this has anything to do with knowing your place, unless that place is being realistic. None of us here can combat nature, much as I might wish I could. I suppose that is better than being suicidal, however," he relented. Not by much though. Harboring unrealistic expectations could be just as dangerous. Then the Gabite's latest sentence started to process. "Ah, yes, there is a hole. I've noticed its presence before, which was why I panicked. Though I don't know what the other things you mentioned would be." Honestly, he hadn't really been paying attention, too focused on rescuing Kazo, and then swimming for their lives. Water type he may be, but there had been a moment when it seemed he lay on the precipice of disaster, barely summoning the strength to overcome the relentless current.

Having said his piece, Suiten started to swim away from the center of the lake, keen to deposit the ground type to a tree where he could at least rest out of the water. He was starting to tire himself. He hadn't swum that hard for a long time, much less with another in tow.

"Sissy is a term I'm not familiar with. One moment." It paused, looked away, then back. "What an unusual term to use with the head of the household. I assume your relationship is having troubles."

Easter wondered if this alien meant to imply anything when using relationship. Then again, what was he anyway? The aggressive big brother? Big sister? The husband? Wife? Or the crazy uncle? Maybe just the distant cousin. Why was he contemplating this anyway?

"I cannot help with this, unfortunately, any more than I can help with sweets."

The Sylveon sighed. I guess it's not their fault, but it kind of is, for betraying my expectations. Not that they can help riding a meteorite instead of a wishing star. "I suppose I can forgive you," he stated grudgingly. Their regret won't fill my stomach, though.

"I don’t know what a Godslayer is, but I heard something about Kyurem once." Brooke adjusted her hat. "A Beartic from Fryst told me about it once, when he was in Denku. He said that there was a rumor that Kyurem lives inside Mount Icecrown, and has for a long time. I can’t tell you how true that is, but maybe it isn’t a bad place to start looking?"

Huh, Easter thought. Yeah, that could work. Makes sense an ice dragon would be in a cold place.

The alien didn't seem to think so however. "Mount Icecrown. This location is known. Please give me a moment to scan. Signal detected. Familiar. Ancient. Dangerous."

It took a second for Easter to fully comprehend their words, his brain dulled by lack of sweets. So they're detecting a signal there, but not the desired one? Does that mean...there's something else there? Perhaps we should go there too. Fawkes mentioned something about it too, if I recall. Their next words caught him off guard. Somebody's attacking Thundurus? Automatically, he shifted to face the same direction. Damn. Wish I were there. I could've been the one fighting them instead. The last bit, the activity, sounded like it had the potential for action, though.

"What's up space thingy?" Dora asked.

"Your direction indicates you are heading towards Coldharbour. One of my targets is in that direction. I can only go to one. Logically that should be the direction, as you also are going that way, it is convenient." Deoxys moved past the group before stopping. "I shall assist." And then tentacles wrapped around their forms, and the gijinka changed shape.

At that, Easter gaped, suddenly remembering exactly where he had heard about this "Deoxys" and what. "Son of a motherfuuuuuu--!" he swore uncharacteristically, though the words were swept behind him in the wind, as suddenly the being had started to move, at a speed far greater than any he could achieve. Then again, he was also abnormally slow, much slower than most gijinka because of his species. One reason he usually never raced Rei.

He watched the world race by underneath him, silently cursing his obtuseness. If only I had realized sooner, I could've... Could've what, though? As he lay there in Deoxys' tentacled arms, he had time to think over the wisdom of his choice. Entei is one thing, but Deoxys is another. Plus I had a decent fighter with me at the time. Perhaps it's for the best that I hadn't recognized Deoxys at the time. He was reluctant to even give that notion any thought, but he had to admit fighting legends with two children around was a bit irresponsible, not to mention they wouldn't be much help anyway. He still needed to figure out a way to teach Fawkes to fight better. Or maybe he could just find those two dark types from before.

By the time they landed, Easter had calmed down enough that he didn't immediately demand for a fight. Not to mention, his legs were trying to collapse, his stomach was trying to invert itself, and his head was trying to reorient itself.

"Let's do it again!" Dora cried, seemingly unaffected by the trip until she fell flat on her face.

"Inadvisable." Deoxys said, sounding worn. "Need rest before confronting target. Expended much energy...You may go where you wish now."

The Sylveon stared at the alien, a kaleidoscope of emotions flashing across his face at their reluctant tone. "...I'm not leaving you until you give me sweets," he settled on. Though that would be a nice perk, the real reason was he just didn't want to leave a prime target like them now that he remembered their identity. Like hell I'm going to walk away from one of them!

Fryst

"Not many bounties round these parts, might be able to point you somewhere if I got some time. Whatever you need doing, I probably can help you do it. Course as long as it's not illegal you can take your time with it. This place is the safest city in Adarid, and that's the truth."

Then what good was this place even worth if they didn't have any problems!  Perfect places really pissed her off...there was no money in it!

"Shut up."  Came out of Isole's mouth.  Taiga's head creaked slowly towards her direction.  She wore a huge, fake-looking smile.  She talked from behind them in a slightly irritated tone.

"Don't make me pummel you, ya pipsqueak.  I ain't afraid to wail on you in front of some Arceusmas tree!"

"Look, this must be a misunderstanding...probably on her end. Just tell me what caught your attention so I know the full situation at hand."  Taiga rolled her eyes.  Now the creep was going to 'save' them.  She pouted as he drew closer with a girl they hadn't seen before.  If the nitwit hadn't ditched the group to get inside the gate, maybe he wouldn't have had to panic.  He was definitely not the brightest chandelure in the slightest.

"Who in the world...Oh, you're uh. Damn I know this one...Cabaret? Yeah that's it right, you're that guy, the uh...Well honestly not sure I know you all that well, hard to keep the names of the non-troublemakers straight with all the people we've been getting. Should be heading to the tower soon, get that pie to the lord before it gets too late and supper's long past."

"He'll get his damn pie when i'm ready to give him it!  Do you know how friggin' hard it was to get this crummy pie here!"  Taiga sighed.  She wondered why she had to deliver the pie herself, and not just hand it to Sevda...probably something about furthering the plot.  Just then, Scarlet turned to her.

"So...how about we go shopping? After all, it wouldn't be fair if I were the only one to go shopping, right?"

Taiga clutched her coin purse.  She was pretty stingy about spending her money after all.

"Tch...I don't need nothi-" it was then that she caught a wink from the chrome dome.  She remembered that they were looking for that Delcatty as well?  It would be good if they got away from the royal guard to get some clues.  Taiga nodded and grinned.  "Fufufu...yeah that's right!  Shoppin'!  Girly stuff!"  Taiga grabbed Scarlet by the wrist and drug her towards the market district, leaving Cabrakan in the dust.  "Catch up to us if you can you creep!"

Brooke and Deoxys spoke briefly, and then...

"Your direction indicates you are heading towards Coldharbour. One of my targets is in that direction. I can only go to one. Logically that should be the direction, as you also are going that way, it is convenient. I shall assist."

Deoxys was changing shape. It wasn't like it became an entirely new person or anything, but Fawkes knew a changing form when she saw one; she was sort of a specialist in that field herself. That wasn't all, however! Tentacles had wrapped around her and the rest of the crew. She was no expert on tentacles or anything like that, but based on what little she knew, this wasn't going to end pleasantly. While it wasn't quite the end result she expected, Deoxys was suddenly rocketing through the air at speeds Fawkes couldn't even match in her wildest dreams. The snow-white scenery of the tundra passed like a blur, until suddenly, they slowed to a stop.

"Let's do it again!"

Let's not.

"Inadvisable. Need rest before confronting target. Expended much energy...You may go where you wish now."

The whole trip was dizzying to Fawkes. For a moment there, she thought she'd throw up, but she kept her stomach under control. Not far behind the group was a river, but Fawkes couldn't make out much else. Easter announced that he had no intention of going anywhere until he got sweets, but Fawkes didn't want to leave her(?) behind. A plan was brewing in her head. Not a massive, world-changing one, but it worked.

"We'd probably get sweets a lot faster if we kept moving and got into town," Fawkes suggested. "It would still be a while, probably, but it beats standing out here in the cold right?"

That's Ari, now for...wait...

"Wh-where's Mac?"

"Gotta be kidding me," Kah muttered. She must have slipped or something, the Hydreigon decided. For now, she'd have to just deal with Ari. Kah pulled the Litleo over the trunk the two were on and over her shoulders, then directed her attention to the nearest tree. Swimming was a lot harder with somebody else on her back, but Kah pushed and shoved her way through the water before gripping the tree tightly. "Boys like to climb trees, right?"

Well, that was not where Whisper had needed things to go. Sure there was the obvious advantage that with Xerneas healing herself and those she had been fighting Jabari with, but she also went so far as to heal the very one that had been attacking her. The one that, by the contract, Whisper was bound to pursue until he was slain. The Zebstrika was the most immediate threat to the lord of life after all. Still, now was not the time to continue her attack. With Xerneas rather obviously poised to undo any damage those in the clearing did to each other, the Assassin would not be able to make much headway in slaying her target. To that end, she made her way closer to the enraged pupitar.

"Be patient." She whispered as she came alongside of Denku. "We are in the presence of a god, and for now we will have to bide our time. Save your strength, and wait until something changes to allow for us to attack the Godslayer without wasting our energy." Her hand came to rest on his shoulder, and she raised her voice to speak to Jabari. "Many things are how they shouldn't be? Things such as you and your associates defiling the Order's stronghold, our shrine to the Lord of Darkness, and slaughtering those that I call my family? I do not think you have any right to speak with regards to the state of the world!" If she could draw him away from Xerneas, possibly out of her reach, then the prospect of finishing him off became much more likely. "You do not have any greater purpose, Jabari. The only reason you are doing this is because you crave power. You are no better than James was! Fitting, then, that his blood is on your hands." Whisper prepared to dodge if Jabari saw fit to rush her, and beyond that she readied a counterattack. Her free hand slid up inside of the long sleeves of her robes, and out of sight of everyone she prepared one of those impossibly sharp blades of darkness. All she needed was for him to come within her reach, and she could cut him open. Maybe even kill him if he gave her the opportunity.

Team Karaoke, Adarid City, Day 10

Alleria's shouting could be very faintly heard through several of the buildings, Fiona and Nine would hear a distant echo and Fiona would perk up at the noise. "Oh Arceus she's looking for me." She muttered, then realized Nine was nearby and clammed up.

"Fiona, was it? Anyway, as a poison type you share my slight disdain with fighting ground types, right? And this place is basically a labyrinth as it is, so I'd rather not look for a needle in a haystack with buzz saws behind all the while. So, let's just get back to moving because I don't want to get caught by Al and his crew, that sounds pretty unpleasant really, and we'll just see if we can find Alleria after we're for sure safe from them."

"Eh? Oh, yeah, I uh...I'm glad to be away from those goons." Fiona glanced around, starting to fully realize where she was. The place seemed oddly empty without the librarian, who, Nine, and Alleria, both would start to remember that the Xatu that was once the librarian...wasn't exactly the one they remembered being here before.

Fiona shook her head and sighed. They were gone, which meant Fiona was the last of her village...the realization was a disturbing one.

Nine would notice the strange mood that was coming off of the girl, had he paid any attention, which she wasn't able to hide at this point. "Yeah let's...uh, let's go this way I guess." Fiona said, picking a random direction which would eventually lead back into the main building.

Which now contained Alleria. The Dragon would notice that the books seemed to be disturbed, as though someone had been searching through them recently, and no one had bothered putting them away. It was now that she might realize the strangeness that the doors hadn't been locked. However right after she would hear noises coming from upstairs. And then, off to the side, over the top of the bookshelves, she would notice someone walking down the staircase. They didn't seem to be in a hurry, and, in fact, were walking with a slight limp, leaning on a cane.
As the figure made his way farther down the stairs, Alleria would notice the form of Salvatore, the Honchcrow whom she had encountered a couple days before.

---

"We should find the others and get into one of those wagons...You said they were heading towards the Library, right? We should probably go pick them up, or something...I dunno..."

"Should the wagons take us to the library then I concur, I suppose. I don't believe anyone has actually said your other companions were heading there but the library does feel like a likely location to reunite, strangely enough."

Gwen bit her lip. "The library..." The place they had been before all this started. Where the Godslayer had been before last night. It would be empty now, however, Gwen still felt uncomfortable going there. As if she'd be disturbing a grave. Something that, ironically as she's a Ghost type, something she didn't particularly want to do. "If that's what you wish." The unease was clear in her voice, but she led the way towards the wagon.

The group getting into the wagon now was fairly small, as it seemed that most Gijinka decided to take their chances on their own, with only 5 others. Gwen tried to keep a seat next to Lok but with all the shoving Lok ended up at the end of the seat across from Gwen and Clotilde, with several strangers pressing against him.

Gwen asked the driver where their route would take them, and he replied that they'd pass by the library but "Why the funk do you want to check out a book during this sheet?"

The ride was bumpy, it seemed the horses that were pulling the wagon were somewhat nervous, stopping and going at seeming random. The driver kept them going in a relatively straight line. They reached the end of the street soon, but as they reached the crossroad they could see that, within eyesight, fighting was breaking out between the two gangs and the guards. They were focused around the markets, dead ahead. There were fires off in the distance, though none that could be clearly seen. "sheet." The driver muttered. "Alright if you want to get to the library get out now, it'll be an hour's walk though. I ain't gonna bring you there myself, we're heading the other way. Hurry it up, gotta get outta here before those bastards notice us."

Gwen turned to the other two. The decision was theirs now, they had to quickly make it, if they headed for the library they ran the risk of catching the notice of the gangs, and wouldn't have a trip to the safe house.  However it was likely their companions would use the library as a meeting point.

Team Sexual Tension, Day 8, Xerneas' Sanctum

"What kind of goal do you seek by killing the Bringer of Life, Jabari? This is not my battle, but Mother had given me the order to step in to stop such things from happening.

Xerneas didn't wish for this battle to continue, and to tell the truth, none of us here really had any stakes here, except you. But as your wish is to end her, then I'll continue standing in your way. And kill you, if I have to."

"Many things are how they shouldn't be? Things such as you and your associates defiling the Order's stronghold, our shrine to the Lord of Darkness, and slaughtering those that I call my family? I do not think you have any right to speak with regards to the state of the world! You do not have any greater purpose, Jabari. The only reason you are doing this is because you crave power. You are no better than James was! Fitting, then, that his blood is on your hands."

Jabari paused. Did they intend to talk him to death? Now that he stopped for a moment he realized that the Bug girl had wrapped him in strands that had started to grow heavy, even with his strength. He sighed, glaring at Xerneas, who looked back passively. "I have nothing to explain. My reasons don't matter to you, you will continue to stop me anyway. Whatever plight I am fighting has nothing to do with you, and you have no reason to care."

He barely glanced away from Xerneas, towards Whisper. "I know not what this Order is, nor what you speak of, but the only ones I have killed are those in Pride Rock and Volcanion. Judge me however you wish."

Flames once more surrounded Jabari as he charged into Xerneas again, forcing her backwards. As he did this, she moved her hand towards the statue. And, with the simple gesture, the same glow as before surrounded it again. Jabari said as he turned towards it and began to run at a greater speed before, ready to smash it with his fists alone.

Then he was struck by a Moonblast, delaying him enough for the Whimiscott to move into position in front of the statue. He looked at Xerneas, clearly not liking the situation, but not wanting to go against her wishes.

Jabari didn't respond, except to turn back to Xerneas once more, a reluctant acceptance in his expression. He would continue to fight, even if she refused to let him do so with honor, as much as he disliked the idea.

Team Mac, Day 10, Crystal Lake

While Kazo was brought to relative safety by Suiten, and Kah brought Ari, though all of them were running low on energy, Mac was...drowning.

Having pushed Ari above her to let him be rescued, she was pulled down into the water by the surprisingly strong current. Her visioned blackened as she struggled to swim upwards. Her lack of strength and the fact that she didn't know how to swim meant that she was barely doing more than expending more energy. Lower and lower she sank, towards the bottom of the lake.
Were she to look around she'd see many different things laying down there. However she wasn't in a position to notice. She was just barely conscious when she felt a hand grip the back of her shirt. She heard a mysterious, bored, voice in her head. "Stupid kids making me do work, what's the old man doing up there anyway...." Suddenly she was rushed to the surface and flung high in the air. A torrent of water shot up around her, making the figure who had grabbed her difficult to see, as they took off immediately, moving across the water at seemingly impossible speeds. Though she did notice they were oddly familiar, though, not quite...
That was the last thought she had as she passed out, and her limp body fell back towards the surface of the lake, the water of which having begun to go back to normal level.

Team Showdown, Day 11, Fryst

While Cabrakan responded to Scarlet, Sevda seemed relieved to find that at least one of the group was easy to deal with. She glanced up at the sun, which had begun to fall, when Scarlet mentioned shopping. Seeing as the market area was so close to the lord's tower she figured it wouldn't hurt to do some shopping beforehand.

"Don't make me pummel you, ya pipsqueak.  I ain't afraid to wail on you in front of some Arceusmas tree!"

Isole's blank expression somehow turned even more emotionless for a moment, and a cold aura seemed to practically flare up around her at Taiga's words.

Sevda groaned, hoping there wouldn't be any trouble.

"He'll get his damn pie when i'm ready to give him it!  Do you know how friggin' hard it was to get this crummy pie here!"

Sevda almost smiled. From what she's seen this girl was just one of those firecracker types. She's seen them before, and usually they don't cause much harm, as long as they're directed in the best direction to explode occasionally.

And then Taiga headed off with Scarlet to do more shopping.

"Not so fast." Isole's voice sounded. Her tone was as monotone as before, but now, it seemed darker. It was clear the girl was angry. Sevda wondered if this Taiga girl had prodded her before this, or if this Isole was just a hair trigger.

Either way she was surprised when Isole suddenly let loose a Thunderbolt which struck Taiga as she left. The Electric attack doing plenty of damage to the notoriously frail Water type that was Sharpedo.

Sevda was in between them in an instant. "Hold right there, I will not be having any fighting in this city. I'll warn you now, do it again and it's right to jail. That goes for all of you. I'll give leniency because I hadn't told any of you but consider this your warning. Fighting is not allowed. I'll get you healed up, miss, just come with me." She said the last to Taiga. "And you." She said to Isole. "Strike one. There is no strike two."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 11, Tundra

"Awww but...I wanna...play more." Dora wobbled, her body seemingly just now realizing what she had just gone through. She was on the ground a moment later, giggling uncontrollably, trying to speak while doing so and only ending up with an incomprehensible mess.

"...I'm not leaving you until you give me sweets,"

"Your body language has changed. I sense...Realization? I am curious as to what information you have learned." It paused, scanned Easter, and nodded. "I see. You recognize my form. Unexpected, but not impossible, I assume you wish to fight. I cannot do this at the moment, you are not my target. After they are eliminated I may have time. This is what your kind would call...a reward?"

"We'd probably get sweets a lot faster if we kept moving and got into town, It would still be a while, probably, but it beats standing out here in the cold right?"

"If you wish to do battle so soon, I will not stop you. I however will wait until the daylight cycle before moving on. The city is that way, if you believe you can reach it safely."

With that Deoxys simply sat down, huddled up, and stared at the ground. They didn't seem to be asleep, however, they also didn't seem to be doing anything else.

If they stuck around, for an hour, Deoxys would stir slightly. Easter would feel a mental prod, and hear Deoxys' voice in his head. "You were in contact with the Dominion Rod. Aboard a ship. What can you tell me of it?"

---

While they rested, the Froslass was solidifying their control over Kyurem. It was a long affair, and difficult, but they finally managed, with the rod's power, to take control of the monstrous Legendary. As night fell they slowly made their way towards Coldharbour. "This one must test Kyurem's destructive power."

Fryst

"Not so fast."

The cold tone in Isole's voice almost made Taiga shiver, but instead, she started to spasm out of control.  She knew this pain, it was all too familiar.  The dampness of her skin, conducting the pain all across her body was a feeling she wasn't very fond of.  When she stopped her spasms, Taiga collapsed to the ground.  It was cold, and it felt good against her burning skin.  Taiga tried her damnedest to get off the ground to sock the damn refrigerator a good one, but she found herself not able to do so.

"You cheeky little...."  She struggled to turn her head towards Isole's direction.  "You cheeky little coward!"  Taiga's voice roared throughout the square.  Her teeth were bared, and a look of ferocious anger could be seen deep in her eyes.

"Hold right there, I will not be having any fighting in this city. I'll warn you now, do it again and it's right to jail. That goes for all of you. I'll give leniency because I hadn't told any of you but consider this your warning. Fighting is not allowed. I'll get you healed up, miss, just come with me."

"Tch..." Sevda had gotten in between the two, interrupting the fight...or at least that's what Taiga thought.  Although, Taiga was embarrassed as hell to be helped by the uppity tree.

When Sevda picked her up, Taiga started to laugh.

"Fufufu...you're lucky this broad is holding me back."  She took a deep breath in, and slowly exhaled.  "I'll pay you back two fold..."  She then let Sevda take her to wherever the healing place was.

It had been a while, but neither Fiona nor Nine had reached their meeting point yet. Alleria was quite impatient, and she was tempted to leave the place to find the two of her teammates several times. However, she also realized that there's also a big chance that once she left, they might come here from another direction, so Alleria decided to hold herself back for now.

However, as she watched the area around her to pass the time, she noticed something odd. For a library that was supposed to be empty, she noticed the books there were seemingly recently disturbed. Someone was looking through them, and didn't bother to return them properly. The thought made her giggle a bit. That'd make her mentor pretty angry. She remembered the time when the bird scolded her on it.

She soon snapped back to reality after her short nostalgia as she realized that there was someone else on this room. Descending from the stairs, not seemingly in a hurry despite the state of the city right now, Alleria noticed that certain someone. It took her a while to realize it, but as each second passed, her eyes widened as the Honchkrow made his presence known to her.

"What a mess...

I guess it'd be polite for me to say that I'm sorry for not answering your question yesterday. A crazy bird pretending to be the librarian attempted to kill me. However, speaking of excuses...

What the hell did you do?"

Progress to Fia's explosion: 80%

The entire thing confused Fia. Xerneas made it infinitely harder for her to do what Mother ordered her to, but she couldn't just simply leave Jabari here unchecked. Everyone acted so weirdly. She looked at both Bea and Denku, and just in a moment, she couldn't feel that she recognized them. It's just so confusing. Jabari's flames burned through some of her strings, but as soon as she managed to steady herself, she continued to replace the ones that had been burned with even more strings.

She really was left with little choice. Was she supposed to destroy the pillar? But that could be done later. Right now, she had a strand of fortified strong on her hands. and as she braved the rocking body of the Zebstrika, she circled it around his neck. It wasn't the first time she tried to strangle someone. While the others she strangled weren't as well-built as the Zebstrika here, she still felt that it's possible for her to do it to him. The string fastened as she put her best effort to stop Jabari from breathing. More strings started to appear too, and this time she attempted to fully cover Jabari's face with it while she continued her best effort to kill him.

Ari gripped the tree for dear life. "Aaah," he sighed. "I didn't think being a Chaser would be this hard..." First that horrible green man, then the desert with the rock people, then the rock legend, then the weird blobby people, and now water! One after another, he kept coming across trouble and things he was weak against! Not that he seemed to be good at too much, being honest. He had trouble starting a fire!

"I...I want to be better," he pouted, tracing a strange shape in the branch he sat on. He straightened. "I'll show them! Yeah...I'll..." he crouched down again, shivering from the water. "I'll be brave starting tomorrow."

It's been two years, but I'm still not brave or strong like my dad, he thought in disappointment. Will I ever get there? Will I ever be able to return home again? Sometimes, on days like this, he got a bit homesick, though he would never admit it to the others. He had an image to uphold! Even if he wasn't a prince anymore, he was still a lion, and lions were known for their bravery!

Meanwhile Suiten had his hands full with Kazo, so though he could see Mac sinking into the water, there wasn't much he could do without letting go of the dragon, and he was exhausted to boot. Watching miserably as she sank into the water, his heart skipped a beat when he saw her shoot from the lake like a mermaid, an outstretched hand the only glimpse he saw of her savior before they raced away across the water.

Thank you, he thought briefly before continuing to power through the water. He could only hope that Kah would be able to grab the Helioptile, as he was fairly reluctant to let go of the dragon, in fear that he would end up sinking into the water or something. And he didn't think he'd be able to rescue him again if that were the case. "Can you take Mac?" he asked her. Now that Kazo had proven himself reckless, he figured the Hydreigon the only person he could trust to take care of not only herself, but the others in this group.

Reaching the tree where Ari was, he dropped off the Gabite nearby before glancing at the receding waters. "Looks like we might be able to swim for shore soon," he commented.

Easter couldn't help the anticipation that sang in his veins at the very thought of a fight with...them. He couldn't help but grin, one much different from his usual sweet butter-wouldn't-melt-in-my-mouth smiles. No, this one was wide, laced in aggression. "I'm looking forward to it."

"If you wish to do battle so soon, I will not stop you. I however will wait until the daylight cycle before moving on. The city is that way, if you believe you can reach it safely."

It took a second for the meaning of Deoxys' words to process. Daylight cycle? Oh. Moving on sounded like a good plan, though he was curious as to why the alien didn't want to move on themselves. After all, they were trying to find their target. Or maybe they would attempt to meditate and triangulate the position from there? Still, it was probably more urgent to address the other point.

"What do you mean, reach it safely? Is there something we should be worried about between here and Coldharbour?" He didn't recall there being anything dangerous in this area, though something might have changed. The fact that Deoxys took them here of all places while looking for their target was a tell in itself. If that were the case, it might be better to stick with the alien and get a front seat to all the action. "I think we should stay with this person," he told the others. "Not only have they not given me the sweets I wanted, but it's late and I'm tired and not really in the mood to move around much. Plus we're about three days from Coldharbour anyway, and sounds like there might be something dangerous over there anyway." Not to mention the fact that sticking with Deoxys would guarantee some excitement, but mentioning that would just deter the others, something he didn't want.

After all, he was told by Sam to protect the kids, and he couldn't really do that if he weren't nearby. And if they decided to head for Coldharbour now, though it was getting dark so that wasn't really the wisest course, he wouldn't be going with them.

Regardless of the others' choice, an hour later, Easter remained in the same spot. He wasn't really psychic, even Psyshock was more of a physical attack than a mental one, but he nonetheless felt Deoxys' mental prod. "You were in contact with the Dominion Rod. Aboard a ship. What can you tell me of it?"

Dominion Rod? he thought back, confident they would hear even though he wasn't of the psychic type. No clue what you're talking about, unless you mean... It hurt to think of the S.S. Showdown, but he delved through his memories, finding the one Deoxys spoke of. That rod? That one...I just remember the captain said it was important. That's about it. Said to keep it safe though. Why? What does it do? the word "dominion" made him think it was meant to control or dominate but he wasn't sure what that'd be for. It should still be with the captain, he thought unintentionally. He wasn't really trying to get the captain in trouble, but he was pretty sure that was where it was, unless it had gotten stolen or something. But who would be stupid enough to steal from the captain?

Team Sexual Tension
Xerneas' Sanctum

With a roar of what she had to assume was anguish, Jabari smacked Beatrice across the side and sent her sprawling across the ground, and the next thing he must've done was to pull the lances out from his shoulders and throw them away. Of course, Beatrice couldn't exactly verify that, since she was facing solid ground and struggling to get back on her feet. And then she was healed by the mystical powers of the aptly named "Bringer of Life". All of Beatrice's friends were healed as well, and... Jabari got the most healing of all? Whose side was Xerneas on?! In any case, Beatrice was quick to recover her lances while everyone else tried to talk Jabari down... however, a few select words from the Absol had instead gotten to Beatrice herself.

"You do not have greater purpose, Jabari. The only reason you are doing this because you crave power. You are no better than James was! Fitting, then, that his blood is on your hands."

Beatrice couldn't help but stop in her tracks. She had no idea that James had already been slain, and she was shocked to find out that she couldn't even exact her revenge because of that. Moments later, she became enraged, and a familiar yellow aura surrounded her and lifted her high up in the air. She soared in between Jabari and Xerneas, speaking first to the latter.

"I don't care if you're a Legendary Gijinka; if you try and save this sorry excuse for a man one more time, then I'll have no choice but to cut you down as well!" Beatrice warned the Bringer of Life, before turning to her true enemy, "And YOU!! You think you're so entitled that you don't have to explain a funking thing, don't you, Champion of the Zebstrika? So what?! You expect us to believe that you betrayed your own tribe, sent their soldiers to their deaths and killed their tactician(?)... all on a funking WHIM??!! Tch, some champion you are. No one in their right mind would forgive you for what you've done! Least of all me!"

With that, Beatrice's lances gravitated towards her side, and then she lunged straight at Jabari.

"THIS ENDS NOW!!" she cried as she charged forward.

Fryst

"Who in the world... Oh, you're uh. Damn it, I know this one... Cabaret?" Cabrakan instinctively found himself whipping around straight at Taiga, having half-expected her to snort out some form of laughter; ironically enough, it was that one time that Taiga said nothing, and this caused Cabrakan to miss most of what Sevda was saying, "Could've told me you had a guide, ya know."

"Er... I suppose you could say I had a hand in guiding them," Cabrakan shrugged his shoulders as he said this. He knew for a fact that this wasn't true in the slightest, but he couldn't be bothered correcting Sevda.

"Eh, oh well, at least I got to meet someone," she continued regardless; Cabrakan would find that she was talking more towards Taiga and Scarlet momentarily and so switched off for a moment, before suddenly, "How about you, might as well come along too eh? Not everyone gets to meet his lordship in person these days."

This one Cabrakan had to think over. Sevda was right in saying that it was rare to meet the Lord of Fryst in person. But at the same time, the elderly Chandelure wasn't entirely sure this lord was someone he'd want himself or the others to lay eyes on; certainly not after all those rumors he heard about said lord in question. However...

'I'd better. There's no telling if their rouse would fall through after getting them this far, and I'd hate to see him react to whatever foolish choice of words that Taiga insists on emitting from her trap,' with that decided, he nodded at Sevda, "Certainly."

...

It was at this point that Bubble moved forward, meeting Cabrakan's colleagues for the first time in her life and, from a more immediate standpoint, wondering what was taking so long for Sevda to get out of their hair. After all, she had a boyfriend that she'd still wanted to locate, and she still couldn't be sure that her father was fighting a lost cause. Incidentally, Bubble approached Cabrakan and him about this quietly, and they were discussing things equally quietly when all of a sudden...

"So, Cab... who's the girl?" Scarlet asked out of the blue.

"Huh?" this seemed enough to snap the two out of their father to daughter conversation, though the resulting pause had lasted longer than it should have before Cabrakan finally clicked on, "Ah yes, this is my daughter. Bubble, this is Scarlet, one of my companions."

"Hi there!"  Bubble exclaimed excitedly, but then she noticed Scarlet's blanket, "Um... not for nothing, but I thought Steel-types could handle the cold."

...

As Bubble was interacting with what in her case was a newly found Scarlet, Cabrakan's mind drifted into wondering what Taiga and Isole were up to. It was a good thing he thought to check up on them, or else he would've missed the Thunder Bolt that Isole had struck Taiga with. Of course, Cabrakan chose not to stop the attack from meeting its mark like he easily could have with his telekinetic prowess; after all, someone had to give Taiga what she'd deserved a long time ago for riling people up unnecessarily, and he could tell that Isole was somewhere near her breaking point... if not at that point already. But still...

"Hold right there, I will not be having any fighting in this city. I'll warn you now, do it again and it's right to jail. That goes to all of you. I'll give you leniency because I hadn't told any of you, but consider this your warning. Fighting is not allowed."

Of course, Cabrakan already knew of what Sevda had just been lecturing. After all, this was the whole reason why he originally moved to Fryst; to escape the constant fighting from Trailsau. But he said nothing. He knew when to keep his mouth shut, after all. After the lecture was all said and given, Sevda helped Taiga up on her feet.

"I'll get you healed up, miss, just come with me," she said calmly, before turning to Isole, "And you. Strike one. There is no strike two."

As the two ladies left, Cabrakan walked over to Isole. He was never going let her suffer the humiliation of not seeing her revenge come to fruition, but he did opt to slap her in the back of the head for getting into trouble that could've easily been avoided.

"Next time, pay attention," he stated solemnly. Of course, Cabrakan was meaning that Isole should've waited until Sevda out of range in which to interfere with, not that she shouldn't have tried to attack Taiga to begin with.

Adarid City / ~

The public transport was cramped, its design had little regard for the comfort of its customers and Clotilde could not resist a sigh. Universal public service standards was a matter she could not file enough complaints about if she tried. Not that she has, no maid would undertake such a futile effort in the first place but nevertheless as a member of the service industry, or so she wished, her stomach turned at the sight. She took a seat alongside one of the two she was temporarily escorting, with the smaller one sitting on the opposite side. The other girl confirmed with the driver their destination and they were good to go.

On the ride, there was little to focus on but the scenery that slowly scrolled by, showcasing the damage the city suffered, whether from the current conflict or the strange weather phenomenon earlier. Clotilde thought she may as well ask around the wagon, "I don't suppose someone here might know why today's been so eventful? Ever since this morning the streets were filled with riots, and the strange weather earlier also intrigues me."

They reached the furthest the cart driver was willing to take them when he addressed them. "Alright if you want to get to the library get out now, it'll be an hour's walk though. I ain't gonna bring you there myself, we're heading the other way. Hurry it up, gotta get outta here before those bastards notice us." The driver had no intention of stopping very long, which she could not fault as he had other customers, but his conduct was infuriating. So she took action as prompted.

"Very well, we appreciate your service." With her best smile and her voice filled with as much passive aggression as she could feasibly muster, Clotilde stood up and curtsied, her skirt making no contact with the other passengers despite the size of the wagon. "Now, let's proceed, you two." She hopped out, her jump shook the wagon slightly.

As Fiona had seemed to agree with his idea of leaving, Nine realized something about the girl. Throughout the whole day, she seemed to have some slightly aggressive air about her, but at the moment, she seemed to be far more...off. He wasn't really sure why she seemed to be incredibly uncomfortable, but as he thought about it, there was something else that was off about her. He wasn't quite sure what that was, but the more he thought the more he recounted the day's, both this one and yesterday's, trying to figure out just what it was. However, before he could figure it out, he wanted to get out of this and into somewhere further in the library complex. With Fiona picking a direction to start running, Nine had followed after her.

Running through the maze of the library complex, the duo had eventually managed to find their way into the main building of the library, one that seemed to intrigue Nine for a brief moment. He had been to this building not too long ago, and had scoured it before in search of anything new. However now, the library didn't only look different, it also felt different. For starters, the place seemed to be far more trashed then normal, which is to say trashed at all as the librarian was always someone who seemed to be on the lookout to keep things nice and orderly here. However, that lead into the next thing that was off. The "Librarian" that turned out to be Godslayer started to seem less and less familiar. They were the librarian at some point in time, but they definitely weren't always it.

The more Nine thought about it, the less he seemed to remember that Xatu having worked here over the course of his entire journey. He wasn't entirely sure when the previous librarian had stopped being there, yet he knew that the Godslayer had always acted like they were always the librarian, and thus they had probably done something to the old librarian in order to be here. Regardless, trying to figure out what had happened however long ago it was came second, as there was clearly something going on here now.

Walking around the library, Nine had seen the familiar blue and white color scheme of Alleria, and was slightly relieved that she had managed to not get caught and made it through the chase safely. This feeling of relief was quickly wiped away as Nine could only sigh at the next figure he had seen. "Of course out of one problem into another," Nine muttered as he saw just who the other figure was. He wasn't all that personally acquainted with the big bird that was in this library, but that didn't mean he was oblivious as to who he was. However as he continued to walk closer to the two, it seemed that Alleria was already acquainted with the gang leader, which made the houndoom wonder just what she had done here to get herself familiar with both of the big wigs of Adarid's crime scene. Nevertheless, it didn't make Nine any less curious as to what was going on here. "Alleria, nice to see you're not hurt," Nine addressed the girl and then looked to the mob boss saying, "and you. Well, if you're here to check out a book, sorry to say the librarian's taking an extended vacation. But if you're not here for that, then just what is it that you want?"

The Slums Team Karaoke

It was settled then. They were to go to the Library and, hopefully, meet up with their colleagues, although Gwen didn't seem completely sold on the idea. He couldn't blame her - afterall, that's where all of this began. They walked towards the wagon, which was rather small. Despite his best efforts, the crowd denied him his seat next to either of his companions - rather, he sat across from them. Instead he had the pleasure of sitting in between a pair of gijinka - a rather large Muk and a Weezing with an uncontrollable cough. Needless to say, it wasn't going to be a comfortable ride.

It was a mostly uneventful ride until it suddenly stopped. He couldn't see too well what was happening, but what he could see was a trails of smoke ahead. "Alright if you want to get to the library get out now, it'll be an hour's walk though. I ain't gonna bring you there myself, we're heading the other way. Hurry it up, gotta get outta here before those bastards notice us."

"Very well, we appreciate your service. Now, let's proceed, you two." Lok shrugged before jumping off of the side of the wagon, landing on his feet with a slight stumble. "Guess we're walking" He said, exhausting in his voice.

Outskirts of Fryst Team Showdown

"Huh?" Both of them seemed to have just snapped back into the current situation. "Ah yes, this is my daughter. Bubble, this is Scarlet, one of my companions."

"Hi there!" The young slugma greeted her, before giving her a slightly quizzical look. "Um... not for nothing, but I thought Steel-types could handle the cold."

"Ah, right..." Scarlet blushed a bit, rubbing the back of her head. "Usually, yes, the cold doesn't really bother me. However, I, uh...walked onto some thin ice and fell into the water" She had a bit of a grin, a drip of ice cold water dripping from her hair on cue for the mention of the water. Before they had much more time to talk, however, she heard a sharp yell. She darted her head towards to find her dear friend Taiga falling onto the floor, small trails of smoke coming from her back. "You cheeky little...You cheeky little coward!" Scarlet rushed towards the shouting shark, but was interrupted by Sevda. "Hold right there, I will not be having any fighting in this city. I'll warn you now, do it again and it's right to jail. That goes for all of you. I'll give leniency because I hadn't told any of you but consider this your warning. Fighting is not allowed. I'll get you healed up, miss, just come with me." Before she knew it, Sevda was taking her fishy friend away to get patched up. As Cab was finishing with his "scolding", Scarlet walked up to Isole, clearly furious. "What has gotten into you!" It was clear to anyone looking at her that she was trying her hardest not to grab the little Rotom girl with her pincers. "I know Taiga isn't the most, er...tolerable...but that doesn't give you the right to just attack her behind her back! At least have the gall to attack her head on..." Scarlet grit her teeth. "You better at least apologize as soon as she's better." Something was bugging her in the back of her mind. This wasn't like Isole at all and, now that she thought about it, her voice seemed...colder than usual.

Brooke stumbled away from the Deoxys when she was released, collapsing to her knees and hugging her stomach. It was no surprise to the Emboar Gijinka that the flight hadn’t agreed with her; she had learned several years before of how her body reacted to flying, when her boyfriend at the time, a Staraptor, had decided to take her for a “Romantic Flight”, which had ended with her puking all over him. She had decided then that if Arceus had wanted her to fly she would have been born with wings, and that she would stick to walking from then on.

Which, of course, hadn’t exactly been an option here.

By the time Brooke had finished empty the contents of her stomach into the snow, Deoxys had turned their focus to Easter. "Your body language has changed. I sense... Realization? I am curious as to what information you have learned." It broke off, and looked Easter over a few times. "I see. You recognize my form. Unexpected, but not impossible, I assume you wish to fight. I cannot do this at the moment, you are not my target. After they are eliminated I may have time. This is what your kind would call...a reward?"

Brooke was entirely convinced that the alien had lost its marbles, until she saw the way Easter’s face split into a grin that would make any sane person hesitate. "I'm looking forward to it,” he affirmed. What in the hell…?

She could still sense the overwhelming pressure roiling off the alien, though it had lessened from before, assumably because it had used up a lot of energy. What sane Gijinka would want to pick a fight with? She could admit, a part of her jumped at the thought of such an intense fight, the part that had always longed for adventure, but she quelled it as fast as it came. She wasn’t one of those infamous Chasers; she had responsibilities, and people who depended on her to make sure they were safe. She couldn’t afford to be picking fights so freely, she knew, watching Dora fondly as she rolled around in the snow. What would they do if she was hurt, or worse, what would she do if they were hurt in the battle?

No, fighting would have to be avoided, if she could manage. Which means I’ll need to set Easter straight, she told herself. She wasn’t looking forward to trying to argue with the Sylveon Gijinka, especially not with how sick she felt from the flight, but it would have to be done.

"We'd probably get sweets a lot faster if we kept moving and got into town, It would still be a while, probably, but it beats standing out here in the cold right?" Fawkes said, catching Brooke’s attention.

"If you wish to do battle so soon, I will not stop you. I however will wait until the daylight cycle before moving on. The city is that way, if you believe you can reach it safely." Deoxys informed them cryptically, before sitting down to presumably meditate and recover its energy.

"What do you mean, reach it safely? Is there something we should be worried about between here and Coldharbour?” Easter had said exactly what Brooke was thinking. "I think we should stay with this person," he told the others. "Not only have they not given me the sweets I wanted, but it's late and I'm tired and not really in the mood to move around much. Plus we're about three days from Coldharbour anyway, and sounds like there might be something dangerous over there anyway."

Brooke nodded, getting to her feet, much more steady now that she was beginning to adjust to land again. Dora was still wiggling around in the snow, so she scooped the young Wooper up and set her down beside her. “I’m in agreement with Easter,” she said, a bit unfocused as she intentionally caused her internal temperature to spike, so the snow around her melted and warmed Dora. That would prevent a cold. “It’s getting dark, so we wouldn’t be able to see anything, and it’s only going to get colder once the sun goes down. We’re better off setting up camp, and trying to stay warm for now.”

She patted Dora on the head, and smiled at Fawkes. “I can even cook us some dinner. How does that sound?”
