  1. 1. Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Pendulum?

I seem to shift through which method is my favorite, and it's usually dependent on my favorite Deck at the time.

Currently, my favorite is Fusion, by far. I assumed Arc-V's Fusion fetish has something to do with it.

I've liked Synchros, but I never really used them to the same extent as Xyz or Fusions.

Pendulum is the flavor I've used and care about the least.

(Because where else do you get an insert song when you summon a monster?)

  • 5D's was my favorite out of the generations, so Synchros are where I'm going. (To be fair, a lot of my milestone cards ARE Synchros).
  • I do like Xyz, but not really enjoying Rank 4 spam nowadays, despite using it to some extent. Admittedly, it is a relatively accessible ED type, and I find myself using a few when needed (even if it isn't the focus)
  • Fusions are still cool though, but haven't been playing Fusion oriented Decks much (well, maybe outside Metalfoes and HEROs [if one can consider Mask Change a form of Fusion nowadays])
  • Pendulums are mixed; there are some that I do like, but others I don't particularly care for.

I like Pendulums as a mechanic, but I hate how Konami treats them. Qli and Majespecters shouldn't have existed.

I'm struggling to find a pendulum type they did well?

Metalphosis and Pepe belong with Qlis, everything else is worse than non-pen decks. The float to the extra thing is nothing short of giving the deck a five card summon on a 2 card investment

It's one of the worse things that happened to the game since castel

Pendulum, considering all the shenaningans with the pendulum zone and the sheer endless possibilities (without ruining one's deck) are something the game needed. Though I have to agree Konami handled them in a terrible manner (and I personally despise Majespecters, their concept and most importantly Unicorn), though the new Magicians are fun to play, while being a stepping stone to cycle through one's Extra Deck.
