Konami has revealed the art of the next Attribute Link monster, asking folks to guess its name.

 

 

It’s a remake of Star Boy, much like Missus Radiant was a remake of Milus Radiant

Its full effect and name are likely to be revealed later.

 

welp im guessing its basically Missus Radiant for WATER

 

Starman? Starlad? Stardandy? (well since the british-esque top hat? or im being racist?)

From the moment Missus was revealed, was there any doubt that all the ol' Attribute boosters would get Link retrains?

 

Anyways, if this works like Missus, I guess Paleo could use it? I mean, none of them will get the ATK boost, but it could help 'em board more ED stuff at one time. Banishing off every Link Summon probably hurts quite a bit though. Aside from Paleo, what other stuff is there? Mermails? Graydles? I mean, I don't think either really put out a ton of ED monsters at once or would benefit much from the marginal boost...

 

Oh! Dinomist could run with this. The Extra Link Zones matter and the ATK boost puts 'em into a pretty high ATK bracket.

I agree, although I don't agree that it should be. I think that it should be Bladefly.

 

But YGO likes its Attribute cycles being EARTH-WATER-FIRE-WIND from what I've seen.

I hope it's something else. Otherwise they won't be very exciting to wait for.

I checked the tweet and the vast majority of the guesses is Mister Boy. Well, in Japanese that's written as misutaa-booi, which is just Star Boy with a mi before it, so the better adaptation would be Mistar Boy.

 

 

I'll put my bet on that too.

So, what about the other 4? Without the artwork is not so easy, but, let's throw some guesses.


Witch's Apprentice's JP name is Minarai Majo
--> My guess is Mirai no Majo, Future Witch.

Hoshiningen's JP name is Sūpāsutā スーパースター
--> My crazy guess is Sūpantsutā スーパンツター because the star has boots but lacks pants

Little Chimera's JP name is リトル・キメラ
--> I guess Riddle Chimera リドル・キメラ

Bladefly... No guess, I'm out of ideas.

Maybe it could evolve into a Manticore. (But how? It has no levels :P)

Oh hey, now you can expect to see first-turn boards of Top Hat Star, Bahamut Shark, and Toadally Awesome from that one Cloudian player at every locals event. Special Summon your Level 4 Cloudian of choice, NS Turbulence, drop two Smoke Balls, Smoke Balls become Fancy Star over here, Turbulence and friend become the avatar of lack of foresight, who vomits two frogs and a fruit onto the field.

Unfortunately, it literally is a WATER expy of Missus Radiant. Also that guy on YGOrganization got the name right (for the most part anyway).

Yeah, if this is any indication, the other 4 will have the same eff as well, though I didn't think this'd have a different eff though.

Uh, I also hoped for different grave effects, but the one they have is fine.

I find difficult to guess how the rest will be named if they are all getting a fancy-themed remake as Missus as this card imply.

I preferred the name ideas thrown in the two YCM threads like Star Sir or Star Dandy, but "Mastar Boy"? IDK, I don't feel it fits since with a mustache and all, it shouldn't be a boy anymore xD

But that's just a nitpick and the pun is good and fun regardless.

Yeah, Ice Barriers should be able to make good use of it. I mean, in the Rank4 variant often I Summoned both a King Feral Imp and Bahamut, so I guess that Feral Imp can easily be replaced by Mastar Boy here... although I have not tested how the Deck flows now that Norden is gone in both formats.

Make Rebarian Shark with 2 Level 4 fish that used effects to make themselves Level 3, then get the float off Rebarian when you use it for Link Material.
