~Faytl~
What are some cards that you see them come out and just groan because you know you are about to have absolutely no fun whatsoever? Whether it be archetype-specific cards or cards that are seeing use in many decks like Vanity, what do you hate to see in this format? My top picks: Aria the Melodious Diva Level 4, Fairy, LIGHT While this Special Summoned card is on the field, "Melodious" monsters you control cannot be targeted by card effects, or be destroyed by battle. 1600/1200 Oh my God. I hate this card. I hate it, it's so poorly designed. Even Raigeki unbanned doesn't make this thing any easier to deal with, it's live off of easily-used Traps like Pinpoint Guard and Call of the Haunted, it's so easy to just sit on this easily live card until you get the cards to go for Bloom Diva and wreck your opponent. Fire Lake of the Burning Abyss Send 2 face-up "Burning Abyss" monsters you control to the Graveyard, then target up to 3 cards on the field; destroy those targets. This card is like Icarus Attack but on cocaine. I dislike this card more than any of the other Burning Abyss cards (I as a whole kind of like the deck, as it's nice to see a very powerful Rank 3 deck that isn't Wind-Up Hand Destruction) because it's so easy to abuse. You can get this card right back if you blow up your Dante with it. It generates so much advantage for you while blowing up your opponent's board and it's just such a middle finger to anyone you use it against. Satellarknight Altair Level 4, LIGHT, Warrior If this card is Summoned: You can target 1 "tellarknight" monster in your Graveyard, except "Satellarknight Altair"; Special Summon that monster in Defense Position, but monsters you control cannot attack for the rest of this turn, except "tellarknight" monsters. You can only use this effect of "Satellarknight Altair" once per turn. 1700/1300 I've always disliked the Satellarknights for how painfully generic they are and how much they're just a Constellar rehash, and this card is what makes it so consistent. A LIGHT Warrior (easily searchable off of ROTA) that recurs your Denebs and lets you continually have access to even more of these. Breakthrough Skill does exist, but the deck's counter trap doesn't make me like it either, since it's a counter that's barely even a minus to the user under a lot of circumstances. INSERT ANY INFERNOID HERE I don't like playing against Infernoids, they're so absurdly powerful and the Graveyard hate they possess that lets them screw up your grave resources while dodging effects like Castel and 101 that essentially makes cards like your Raigeki a Soul Release that hits only you. Qliphort Scout and Apoqliphort Towers I feel like I don't even need to explain this one. Scout is such an annoying card to see come out, because it ALWAYS comes out turn one. It's one of the most powerful decks in the format and even a bad player can play a Qliphort deck with near ease. It's like if Dark World were actually meta. It's just search, pop, remove, pendulum, bang bang bang. And Towers is just one of the biggest middle fingers I've seen. It's so hard for me to kill this thing, I've only managed to kill a Towers once (with Performapals, which was hilarious), and it's immunity to nearly everything just makes it so poorly designed to me. So those are my least favorite cards around today. What about your guys? What are your thoughts on my choices for most annoying cards?
Premier Alexander Romanov
Vanity's Emptiness and Masked HERO Dark Law. Both are designed to screw over the opponent's deck simply for functioning, and require very little effort on the user's part to add in. They work to limit their opponent's ability to interact and respond, and can easily kill plays that would turn a game in a player's favor. For their users, they are winmoar, but for everyone else, they are winless. So why do I keep seeing these cards around if so many people dislike them? JessicaMuddy
Here's one obvious one: Vanitiy's Emptiness. In my opinion it is just badly designed. Other picks include: Any Qli Card Any Fire Formation Trap Shaddolls Bottomless and/or Complusorly Artifacts As well as some others I can't think of right now. ~Faytl~
Where's Cyber Dragon Infinity as that needs to be here. Oh man, how did I forget about Cyber Infinity? I've gotten to just scooping games when it comes out unless I have a really good hand. Vanity's I don't mind SO much, as I think only Yosenju can really use it to the best effectiveness; I also share your distaste for Dark Law, though. Premier Alexander Romanov
Oh, also, the infernal (and devilishly easy to get out) one-two punch of Shien and Shi En. Congratulations! You can't use at least half of your Deck, because you can only activate 1 Spell or Trap a turn, and it will just be negated!

You can't use at least half of your Deck, because you can only activate 1 Spell or Trap a turn, and it will just be negated! Shien doesnt work like that Since the first card would be Shi En'd, itll negate the activation therefore it means the spell or trap wasn't activated in the first place. Therefore you can activate another Spell and Trap without Shien stopping it

Red_X
Skill Drain, Macro Cosmos, D-fissure, Necrovalley. I run a lot of grave oriented decks, and although I have monster that I can summon to run over Dark Law/extra deck to get rid of him, I very rarely have an out to any of the above floodgates. evil cucumber
Skill drain, Kaiser Colosseum, yosen infernitybarrier, Spellbook of fate, PWWB, denko seka, cydra infinity, Shaddoll Fusion, Winda and the one i hate the most is the new Trishula

Mugendramon
THIS F**KING GUY: Trish can be outplayed though. Keeping an empty field OR an empty hand is not always unrealistic.
Delibirb
I think you're all forgetting the obvious ones. Exodia and Bad Reaction to Simochi.
Trebuchet MS
As a Chain Burn player, seeing Denko drop sends shivers down my spine. Otherwise, Dark Law is just bullshit to face.

JessicaMuddy
I find Simochi a fun deck to play. Snatch Steal + Upstart Goblin + Rain of Mercy, etc, etc. It's fun!
Expelsword
INSERT ANY INFERNOID HERE I don't like playing against Infernoids, they're so absurdly powerful and the Graveyard hate they possess that lets them screw up your grave resources while dodging effects like Castel and 101 that essentially makes cards like your Raigeki a Soul Release that hits only you. If it's any consolation, Infernoids hate playing other Infernoids possibly more than any other deck. Personally, I hate playing Ritual Beasts - because they use their banished pile anyway, it's really tough to mess them up, and it's ridiculous trying to punch through all of their monsters. I've also played against Cyber Dragon Infinity 1000000.......0000000 times since it came out, and damn is that card stupid.
Blake
Altair is not that bad. Saqlifice is worse than scout or towers by far. You can't reasonably outplay Saq.
Toffee.
Saqlifice is worse than scout or towers by far. You can't reasonably outplay Saq.Because "Sent from field to Graveyard" was tooooootally a good idea.
Krein
Oh jeez, I've got a few dishonorable mentions. First on the list is Number 101: Silent Honor ARK. Being an lswarm and Fire Kings player, I absolutely HATE seeing this card. Being a staple in any deck that can get out two level 4's in one turn, I always see this card show its stupid face every turn after I summon Ophion or Garunix. Nekroz of Unicore and Nekroz of Clausolas. These fucking things. Just.... ugh, I've got no words for how much I hate these things. Ophion, or any other extra deck monster that can help you deal with Nekroz? Lolnope, say hi to these two, they won't be leaving the field anytime soon! Enjoy having all your effects negated while I calmly search out the rest of my shit to OTK you! Seriously, I don't even hate their easy to summon version of Trishula as much as I hate these abominations. Satellarknight Altair, Satellarknight Triverr, Stellarnova Alpha. I hate this archetype as a whole already due to their generic design and linear playstyle, but these are the cards I specifically hate. Altair just lets you spam all you want by getting your "dead" Satellarknights' effects. Triverr? LOL BOUNCE EVERYTHING, AND SINCE I PROBABLY SUMMONED ALL THE SHIT I NEEDED TO MAKE THIS LAST TURN I'LL NOW PROCEED TO REMAKE MY FIELD. Stellarnova Alpha is a virtually costless, themed counter trap to anything you might want to do (which everything seems to be getting nowadays). Necrovalley. I never understood why this card was unappreciated, but then I dueled my friend's Gravekeeper deck. Then I learned that my deck relies a lot more on the grave than I thought after I found that 75% of my plays were shut down. I don't hate this card as much as the ones I've mentioned already, but it is annoying to see. Burning Abyss, specifically Fire Lake of the Burning Abyss. I'll admit, I do kind of like BA because of their design and being based off one of my favorite pieces of literature, but they seem to be a toolbox deck that net you so much advantage in one turn you don't even know what to do with all the stuff you can get. Fire Lake is just a pain, and due to the nature of the deck, is yet another near - costless card to screw over your opponent. Any Qliphort card. I don't think I need to explain why, but screw this whole archetype in general. Why were these things a good idea in the first place? Infernoids (?). I'm a bit on the fence with these. They seem pretty cool but are complicated to use. Going up against them, they seem to just be an OTK deck (which lore wise makes sense since they're supposed to be symbolic of the Genesis Flood or something). This is all I can think of for now, but I know there's more...
Sleepy
Cyber Dragon Infinity. Talking of a Quasar-like effect with 101 slapped in and for the cost of an easy 2 material Rank in the decks it is played at. Even when I'm about able to take one down, backrow happens. Masked HERO Dark Law. From my experience, this one can be taken down in quite a lot of ways, but that doesn't change the fact that it is one of the most annoying cards to play against for me. I already disliked Macrocosmos and Dimensional Fissure as it was because they mess with essential strategies of my typical decks, but this is a one-sided version of them that also disrupts searching. Necrovalley. To be blunt, I revive a lot. Not all decks in the game need to, but mine typically need the Graveyard. Hyeratics. All the times I've bumped into them, I just need to play a monster, any monster, and they have gone for OTK the very next turn. Similar with Dark Matter Dragon every time I see it. Qliphs. I already know what they are gonna do. Doesn't mean that it isn't a bunch of ********

The only issue is that Castel exists and nearly 100% outclasses it.I'm sorry if someone else in the thread said something like this, too, I just didn't read anything before my post, bar the OP. Spinny
I absolutely hate ALL Nekroz decks. They are sooooo boring. Also, This is SO counterable its not even funny, this barely ever sticks unless you use demolisher with it. Most decks auto-run raigeki and snatch steal etc so its really not that hard to remove.
