    Some questions:
-Submiting cards here is like submiting a deck for any other tournament or it's about adding more cards to DP?
-Whenever we want to enter a tournament but use the same cards from the previous one, do we still have to submit cards?
-Are we supposed to use only the submited cards, like any other tournament?
-It's said that someone who wants to participate can submit cards, so it's optional. Right?
-If the reason we submit is for decks' validation, can we submit cards by adding links (from the Wiki or elsewhere) to the cards that we'll use?

 

1. The former.

2. No, the pool is ever growing.

3. You can use any card in the pool, not just yours, and Konami's cards. But other than that, you can't use custom cards outside the pool.

4. Yes. But refer to the above.

5. Refer the the above points.

 

Basically, once again, this is to make it easier for people to discuss and watch over the cards used on the pool, among other things.

We were supposed to have one this month (which I was going to run); but that's on hold until things get settled.

Again, communication regarding this issue between us is really bad right now.

 

When we get the tournament going, you'll know.

 

(Nai, I'd talk to you on Skype but my home computer sucks + because of the DP chat, I have to read 4000 or so messages; doing that makes Skype lag)

Going to submit this card as a generic, since people have asked me to include it.

2 Level 4 DARK monsters
If this card battles a monster, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: Destroy that monster with this card's effect without applying damage calculation. You can only activate this effect of "Absol the Emissary of Disaster" once per turn. An opponent's monster that destroys a monster you control by battle cannot declare an attack during the next turn.

 

First effect reflects Night Slash (which gives a better shot at critical hits). To show this, it detaches 1 of its materials to just pop the monster it battles (though in the event someone decides to Xyz a second Absol, that OPT clause is there). Second effect reflects Pressure, in the sense that if an opponent's monster destroys one of yours, they can't strike. (In the case of boss monsters, it'll stop them for a while; whereas smaller monsters will just get used for Xyz, Synchros or whatever).

Synchro Monsters

Generic Synchro7 with an effect similar to "Junk Archer" plus a couple of perks, such as protecting herself from destruction while a card is banished by her effect, making her somewhat effective for damaging pushes. Plus it locks the opponent's cards from banishing.[/spoiler]

 

Xyz Monsters

Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this turn, any opponent's card destroyed by a card effect is banished instead of being sent to the Graveyard. After damage calculation, if this card destroys a monster by battle: You can banish that monster instead of sending it to the Graveyard, and if you do, this card gains 100 ATK.


This is an attempt of an Anti-Meta Rank4 designed to counter cards that are unaffected by destruction through effects and/or have effects that activate in the grave. This card was designed to make the "destroy" mechanic relevant again by essentially upgrading it into the "banish" mechanic. In addition, she has the right ATK to get over Midrash, and even if you don't have "destroy" cards available, with her last effect she should be able to stop the effects of most floaters.

Rulings:
- This card's second effect basically replaces the word "destroy" on cards/effects with "banish". For instance, the effect of "Dark Hole" becomes "Banish all monsters on the field". As a result, cards that are normally unaffected by destruction by card effects (e.g. Midrash, Beelze) would be affected and successfully banished by cards that would destroy them under Devourer's effect.

Trivia:
The ATK-boost part of the last effect is more of a flavorful perk that references the monster's ability of eating souls to power herself up.[/spoiler]

While this card has Xyz Material, cards in your Graveyard cannot be banished by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1card you control; banish it until your next Standby Phase. While a card is banished by this effect, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects.

 
Generic Rank4 that can "flicker" (Wind-Up Rabbit effect) other cards for protecting while gaining immunity to destruction herself. It also comes with a lock that may be handy depending on the matchup.[/spoiler]

While this card has Xyz Material, monsters you control gain 100 ATK x its Level/Rank during the Battle Phase, also they are unaffected by effects that would prevent them from attacking and their attacks cannot be negated. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Attack Position monster on the field; change it to face-up Defense Position, and its battle position cannot be changed.

 

Generic Rank2 with mostly defensive effects. Its LIGHT/Warrior typing makes it compatible with Astral Force to turn into Xyzs such as the Stellarknights, Excalibur, Paladius, etc.

The first effect makes your monsters immune to attack negation (including by the side-effect of Fiendish Chain and similar cards), while granting a cute ATK boost. The second effect is a handy Quick Effect that can stop an opponent's monster from attacking, certain cards such as Lyla from using their effects, or can be used defensively in a pinch by shifting a monster you control to Defense and prevent you from taking heavy damage. In addition, unlike most position-changing effects, this is not temporary, which should provide it an edge.

 

Both effects are more or less a reference to Risalkia encouraging the frontline to hold its position and boost their morale, while threatening/discouraging the opposing army.[/spoiler][spoiler=Heiress of the Lich King]

2 Level 4 DARK monsters
While you control a Zombie-Type monster, your opponent cannot target this card with effects or for attacks. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects. Each effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field. You can only use this effect of "Heiress of the Lich King" once per turn.

• Target 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. It becomes Zombie-Type, gains 300 ATK, and its effects are negated, also this card cannot attack this turn.

• Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes 0, and it cannot activate its effects.[/spoiler]

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; your opponent cannot activate cards or effects during the Battle Phase of this turn, also this card gains 300 ATK. Once per turn, when an opponent's monster declares an attack while this card has Xyz Material: You can negate the attack.


This card is basically an Armades that extends its effect to other monsters, but it can only do it twice and only during your turns. It was designed not only to allow your monsters to attack without fear, but also stop floaters and flip effects.

Flavor & Trivia:
- According to the wikia, Fulhelmknight is the reincarnation of Anu Piranha, so I decided to make a card that depicted a grown-up Fulhelmknight who adopted her ancestor's name and title as an X-Saber (instead of XX-Saber). - This card's original ATK/DEF are the same as Anu Piranha's.

You can only use this effect of "Poker Joker Yarliqueen" once per turn.

  Target 1 face-up Spell/Trap Card on the field; Set that target, and if it is an opponent's card, it cannot be activated.

  Target 1 Set Spell/Trap Card on the field; flip that target face-up, and if you do, force its activation OR negate its effects if the activation timing is incorrect. Also, that card remains on the field.

Flavor & Trivia:
- The first effect is for flavor: as a Poker-themed monster, she searches the aforementioned Poker-themed Traps. Also, Full House sometimes becomes relevant depending on the format, which consequently makes this card somewhat relevant as well.
- Her ATK/DEF stats are kind of a silly reference to a 5&2 Full House hand.[/spoiler]

This card is unaffected by your opponent's Trap Cards. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects. Each effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field. You can only use this effect of "Trap Engineer Vivyzian" once per turn.
• Target 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls; destroy it, and if you do and it was a Trap Card, banish it.
• Target 1 Trap Card in your opponent's Graveyard; banish it, and if you do, Set 1 card with the same name from your Graveyard, but banish it during the end of the next turn if it is still on the field.


A backrow remover for Rank 4s backed up by immunity against Traps to ensure she gets the job done, and with additional effects against Traps. Flavor-wise, as an expert on traps, Vivyzian is able to both remove and build Trap Cards, hence her removal and recycling effects.

From the looks of things, yes.

 

Devourer can't be banished on the field, which means you'll have to destroy it and send it to the Graveyard (or bounce it).

But if Banisher exists, then any destruction effects turn into banishing ones, which are negated due to Devourer.

 

So yeah, only way that's getting off the field is if you bounce.

Fuck I almost forgot about this.

Since we're at May and DP's functional enough, I guess I'll start organizing things a bit once I return from my holiday on monday.

Screening over cards, reworking the OP with the pool and just generally making it less crappy, and having a certain someone make the actual tournament thread.

I'm assuming it's either myself or Toyo doing this one. (Technically speaking, you hosted the last one, so yeah)

 

Keep in mind that I still have to grade stuff from the CC Monthly (in conjunction with other university crap); but most that I gotta do is just take entries, collect deck lists and do tournament brackets and stuff.
