1) Dark/Destiny heroes: Dark warriors and anit heroes; Rank 4 spam and Lvl 8 Synchros, with norden and dark law asistance they can get solid plays (on rougue level)

2) D/D/D: They do everything, and till this day is the one (if not the only) pendulum deck which does not relie on the pendulum mechanic, and they are based on historical characters.

3)Phantom Knights: Like the playstyle, its a less potent version of BA (Full power) they already demostrated they have potential

4)Galaxy/Photon: Love Rank 8 acces and can make infinity the honest way (which is now the only way)

5)Shaddolls: Of all the DA decks this one was the only i really respected, they still can be splashed as an engine but without their best card there is no much they can do on competitive level

Honorable mentions: Blue/ Red eyes (Nostalgia), Vampires (They wont enter to the top 5 unless they get better support), Raidraptors, Lightsowrn (I really like and hate what minerva has done to the deck, still a luck based deck).

Honorable mentions: D/D/D, Burning Abyss, 4-Axis Fire Fist Resonator, Pepe.

My Top 5:

5) Infernoid

They might stay at a lower tier for a long time due to the lucksacking, but it's the one deck that has every tool I need to do field wipes without worries. Though opening hands will be pretty nonlinear, it paves way for unconventional strategies and skill play that makes you conserve your resources, and it pays off with OTKs and big Synchros/Xyzs. Add on top a cool lore and it's secured as one of my favorites of all time.

4) Nekroz

I picked them up to do Djinn Lock shenganigans and other common Nekroz things, but I only truly picked up the wombo combos when the popularity died from the banlist and the Performage engine was getting more popular. And as a matter of fact, it worked beautiful with Valk being more active as ever, with the only disadvantages being the lack of Unicores of Brios for extended plays. Nevertheless, I always had good results and I was able to make a TON of comebacks and power plays thanks to the Mages.

3) Phantom Knight/Buster Blader Magicians

It's a tie for me. For one thing, both archetypes at the time were considered pretty mediocre at first glance, but after experimenting with the builds and making the best out of it all, both have been huge payoffs. Phantom Knights were something I recently picked up, and it's amazing how destructive and spammy the R3 engine was and having access to a multitude of DARK Xyzs; I always had a huge 4-5 beater at the end with Cloak/Gloves/Sword boosts, and other R3s, with no NS needed. Buster Bladers were something no one had ever expected, and they work amazing...arguably better than the current Dark Magician support with it. Running the BBs with the multitude of Level 1 Tuners and Magician Pendulums end up with Level 8 Synch spam galore. Not to mention having a pseudo-lockdown and its own Super-Poly. One of the best creations I have tuned upon after looking at similar builds.

2) Kozmo

I absolutely loved the shenanigans that were possible that could go down if you had DD pop any monster, and go into OTKs. With the addition of Tincan, it's enhanced the play strategy quite a lot, and had forced me to be very tactical, but the payoff was worth everything. In my experience, I dominated most of my mirror matches, and always had  resources for backup all the time. Truly an amazing offensive deck that allows some stylishness and power in the metagame.

1) Shaddoll

I fell in love with this sheet when DUEA hit the earth. Bought them since their release and held onto all pieces until their "Death". I'm pretty sure I boasted about how much I loved them elsewhere in other threads, but to make it short, it's the fact that you can hybridize it with a bunch of things makes it awesome. The floats provide good resourcefulness and comeback material while enabling OTKs and creative plays that can be introduced when fused with another engine. Will always be my favorite forever.

1) Synchrons: My first deck that wasn't actually sheet. Not much now, but good days.

2) D/D/D: I'm working on a deck for them, though I forsee I'll nedd all the OCG stuff. Really like the concept and naming scheme.

3) Hazy Flames: My SECOND deck that actually wasn't sheet. Plus, the expressions on some people's faces when you make a five mat Balsitrice is f***ing priceless.

4) Monarchs: What Steelswarm could've been.... Anyway, like how they bring back Tribute Summons in a big way.

5) Zombie.deck: Out of all the types, these guys are probably have the best generic support in my opinion. They are just way too fun.

Wights: It's just so damn rewarding feeling when it works.

Penguins: .....They're cute. That's really it. And they're the only other deck I've actually played, besides a janky all Fish deck.

Ghostrick: I don't even know what they do I just like the art and wanted to add a third deck to the list.

In no particular order:

  • Super Quantums (It's Power Rangers / Sentai, so yeah)
  • Majespecter (This was a Deck that I would've liked to play IRL, but KoA decided to jack up the prices on some of the key members. [Can I buy the OCG versions now?]. Although, DN/YGOPro don't care about money, so...)
  • HERO (well, I haven't been playing them much as of late [and I think my version is starting to turn into "spam Mist / Dark Law" and whatever, like everything else)
  • Ice Barrier (needs consistency booster to be good now)

Let's see if TDIL gives me something new to play with.
