Blake Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 PSY-Frame AcceleratorContinuous Trap Card(1) Once per turn: you can pay 500 LP, then target 1 “PSY-Frame” monster you control; banish it until your next Standby Phase.(2) Once per turn, if another face-up “PSY-Frame” card you control leaves the field, other than [by battle?]: you can Special Summon 1 “PSY-Frame” monster form your hand. Synchronized Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 I don't know how to feel about it. It seems bad. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Toffee. Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 It seems bad.On the plus side, it lets you potentially play yet more PSYs in a single turn. So that's... Always something. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Darj Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 Is this good for PSY-Frames?I don't know, but I want to know. Oh, it is searchable by Overload, so I guess you could be silly and play both and tech a couple of Spell Magic Planters in PSY-Frames xD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tinkerer Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 I'm not a super huge fan of the card itself (if the first effect was a quick effect, that'd make it a ton more helpful), but I like how this continues to point to 2 support cards for past sets (if Aromas were anything to go by). Bringerofcake Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 It seems ok if you don't have the field spell, or if you have a dead Zeta because they keep summoning monsters in DEF. Naturally has synergy with Multi-threader as well. The second effect is kinda meh, but testing will sort this card out. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 Why why why couldn't they have just made it able to temporarily banish any monster you control? Really though, this card is great because it works into Synchro combos that don't rely on your opponent. The fact that it doesn't directly let you do anything however is a downside. It works well with Multithreader, and redeems it through that. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
玄魔の王 Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 If this thing summoned a Psy-Frame Tuner from your hand, Deck or Graveyard, I'd like it more. Apart from use with Multithreader, it can be used to put Drivers in hand to work I guess. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Highlander Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 All they really require is a handtrap that allows them to instant sync during either players turn, though it should be limited, so it cannot be used with blackrose. As for this card ... cute, however it does not solve their main issue. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Nyx Avatar Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 This wouldn't really do anything. The most it could do is clear the field for the PSY-Frame monsters in the hand or fodder for Psychic Feel Zone. But that's about it, really. Tinkerer Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 Looking at the card's effect more thoroughly, there were a few things I noted that seemed interesting. First, I assume the first effect does indeed lead into the second effect? I dunno how much utility that has, essentially trading 1 tuner for another, but it does allow you to go into Omega even if you only had a lvl 1 tuner on board. Second, this card also works even if your Psyframe Spells/Traps are removed (which I suppose confirms that they aren't getting any Psyframe Normal/Quick-play spells anytime soon). I don't know if there's much utility in that last point either considering how important the other Spells/Traps are. Last, both effects are soft-OPTs. If you have multiples of this on the field, it can act as a delayed pseudo-Circuit as you can temporarily banish your cards then Synch during your following turn. Progenitor Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 I mean, it triggers itself and combos fairly well with Multi-Threader. Plus it makes Feel Zone plays much more readily accessible. I feel like it promotes a much more aggro build of psyframes, which I'm totally ok with. I was a huge fan of the Feel Zone plays anyway Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Lonk Posted June 16, 2016 Report Share Posted June 16, 2016 It would've been cool if it had an effect from the Grave. As it is right now... I'd still use it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Progenitor Posted June 17, 2016 Report Share Posted June 17, 2016 I thought Psychic Field Zone was used in most builds regardless.It is. But it's used mainly as a tech option rather than a play extender, since psyframes aren't very aggressive in general. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Their playstyle is more of stall/control, and THEN they proceed to attack. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
goodfusion Posted June 17, 2016 Report Share Posted June 17, 2016 Psychic Path also looks a lot better with this as you can actually use the monsters immediately instead of just waiting for your opponent to play. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cr47t Posted June 17, 2016 Report Share Posted June 17, 2016 So, the deck isn't a bunch of handtraps anymore, thanks to this. I would like to see this revive the deck but i don't know if that's gonna happen/work. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
