Eh, I'ma just "borrow" this idea.

A bit of explanation besides the obvious:

A few rulings:

Skill Cards can be Continuous or Field Spells (least from confirmed stuff); otherwise, treat them as similar to Quick-Plays that don't last past the turn.

Skills cannot be negated unless otherwise specified by another one (i.e. Anti-Skill in VRAINS). They also cannot trigger effects unless otherwise specified (i.e. A skill that can send a monster to the GY will not trigger Burning Abyss effects).

Generally once per Duel, but some do have lighter restrictions. A few also have some activation requirements on the back, so remember to include them if you need to do something.

 

 

As for other rules that apply for this game:

1. Usual "create a card" game rules

 

2. You don't have to make a Skill Card for a character in the anime/manga [DM or VRAINS] a la Speed Duel.

If you so want to make ones for GX, 5Ds, ZEXAL or ARC-V characters (eventually we'll probably get them too), go ahead.

You can also make ones with your names on them, [i.e. Tinkerer / Skill / Continuous Spell]

 

3. Only requirement is just posting a prompt for the next Skill Card. Rest of it is up to the next member. Keeping in mind Skill Cards with respect to the actual game.

 

Hopefully this one doesn't flounder considering how unorthodox it is compared to everything else here, but we'll manage.

Shadow Expansion
Lystern/Skill

●Target up to 3 "Shaddoll" monsters from your GY; Special Summon them. They can be treated as any Attribute, but their effects are negated.
●This turn, Special Summon of "Shaddoll" monsters you control cannot be negated.
Each of these Skills can only be used once per Duel.


Use an archetype that not used in anime.

Maids' Briefing

Use only during your Main Phase. If you control a "Dragonmaid" monster, send 1 "Dragonmaid" card from your Deck to the GY, and add 1 "Dragonmaid" card from your Deck to your hand. This skill can only be used once per duel.

 

Create a skill that bolsters consistency for a given theme. Examples are Draw Sense skills and other "alike type" skills.

Tribe of the gods

Can be used each time your LP decrease by 1000. During your Draw Phase, instead of conducting your normal draw, draw a random DIVINE-attribute monster. Then you can reveal any number of DIVINE-attribute monsters in your hand, create an equal number of "Sacrificial Tokens" (Spellcaster/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0). The tokens cannot be used as Material or Tributed for a card effect.

 

Make a skill that supports Xyz Summons.

"Zexal Morph"

Yuma & Astral/Skill

During your opponent's End Phase, if your LP are less than 2000: You can target 1 monster you control with a Level, Special Summon one monster from your Deck with the same Level, then immediately Xyz Summon a monster from your Extra Deck. You can only activate this Skill once per Duel.

True Galaxy-Eyes Taming

During your opponent's End Phase: you can place 1 "Rank-Up-Magic" spell card from your deck on top of your deck and if you do, you cannot special summon monsters from your extra deck during your next turn, except "Photon" and "Galaxy" monsters.

Necronomicon

Skill: Bakura, Yubel, Reiji

Can be used when your LP are at least 2000 less than your opponent's.  Add 1 banished Fiend or Zombie to your hand.  This Skill can only be used once per turn and twice per Duel.

 

Next Skill name: Sniper

Skill: Revolver

Continuous

When a "Borrel" link monster is link summoned, inflict 100 damage x it's link rating. If 400 or more damage is dealt with this effect, inflict 200 damage to your opponent.

Action Card! (Skill Card)

You can activate only once per turn, during each player's Battle Phase when a player declares an attack. 

Toss a coin and if you call it right, you can roll a dice and activate one of the following effect during this Battle Phase, once:

1 or 6: "Evade": You can negate an attack.

2 or 5:  "Miracle": A monster you control is not destroyed by battle and any damage to your LP from that battle is halved.

3 or 4: "Mirror Barrier": If a monster would be destroyed by an effect, it is not destroyed.

Face-Down Defense position monster you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. Your opponent cannot chain cards to the activation or resolution of Flip Effects.

Supreme King Integration
Skill
Banish 1 each of "Astrograph Magician", "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon", "Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon", "Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon", and "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon" from your hand, Deck, field, and/or GY; Fusion Summon "Supreme King Z-ARC" from your Extra Deck. You can only activate this Skill once per Duel.

Make a Skill Card that's a reference to something from the Duelist Kingdom Arc that was a wonky usage of mechanics, like infecting cards to make their ATK and DEF go down procedurally.

What better than to tie it in with where everything started. Also I know that this is the exact same name as a card above, but it's too fitting not to use.

Field Power Bonus!

At the start of the Duel, flip this card over.

If a Field Spell effect would increase/decrease ATK and DEF in multiples of 100, it instead increases/decreases by a percentage equal to that amount divided by 10.

(For example, Yami would instead of give 200 ATK/DEF up, increase ATK/DEF by 20%).

Chronomaly Constructs

Skill: Trey

Activate when you have 3000 or less LP.  Play 1 "Chronomaly City Babylon" from outside your Deck face-up on your side of the field.

 

A Skill that benefits a specific type other than Dragon, Spellcaster, Warrior, or Fiend.

Cynet Realization

Skill/Yusaku

If your starting deck contains 5 or more Cyberse monsters, and your Extra Deck contains a Cyberse Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz monster, reveal one of those monsters in your Extra Deck, then shuffle 1 card from your hand into the deck and add the following cards) to their respective locations from outside the Duel:

Fusion: Add "Cynet Fusion" to your hand.

Synchro: Add "Cyberse Synchron" to your hand.

Xyz: Add "Parallel eXceed" to your hand and another copy into your Deck.

 

You can only use this skill once per Duel.

 

Choose a type, and make a skill that supports it:

Beast

Wyrm

Rock

Dracocension

Skill/Mokuba

Can be used each time your Life Point decrease by 1000. Send a Dragon monster (except a Token) on your side of the field to the Graveyard. Then, randomly play a Wyrm monster that is same Attribute as the monster you sent to the Graveyard, but is the same Level from your Deck (the monster must be able to be Normal Summoned.) This Skill can only be used once per turn.

 

Choose a type, and make a skill that supports it:

Pyro, Aqua, Thunder, Rock (rep if you can make a skill that supports all these types)
