[/quote] I had to pull reasons I hate gen 5 out of my head in like 5 seconds, so they obviously suck. I don't like gen 5, if that's a problem, live with it. Therefore, design which is not set in some sort of vacuum is subject to its surroundings. And Gen 5 pokémon are pretty much all more modern and abstract than previous regions. [/quote] And that is the bias you'll have. I played the hell out of the 4th gen so I can name almost every pokemon up to it. Hell, I can name most of them off the top of my head. I don't know 5th gen as well because I haven't spend as much time with it. Also, after you stop watching the anime it gets harder to learn the names since that teaches you how to say them and having that helps a lot to remember the names. [/quote] It's funny, when I see the name I know who it is, but for some reason the name always gets stuck on the tip of my tongue when trying to remember it. That is why I mostly call it by the Japanese name, Ulgamoth.That hasn't helped me with the name either since I spent a lot of time with the 5th back when all he had was the Japanese names and some of them are easier to remember.
