Why Verdant Sanctuary, that bug in the grave, and EC, though?Well, Verden Sanctuary adds Insects when they're destroyed, and considering that they don't have any other real searchers, it's important. Plus, it can combo with Howling Insect as well. Naturia Butterfly is a Level 3 Tuner Insect, as they have limited Xyzs, having them be a Synchro option as well can help, plus it is an easy Synchro or Rank 3 with Crane Crane as well. EC is to change them to DP mostly, so that I can benefit from their effects. It's also useful as an alternate stopper of attacks so I can Normal Summon something for the next turn and go into a Rank 3, or to use Centibit. As I'm still testing things out, these may not be as useful as they are in theory, but that's why I use them anyway. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Here's the entirety of the story, which I could best recall from the duel I just had. Opponent played Monarchs, versus my Nekroz. He managed to first turn Mega Zaborg, killing my 2 Nordens, Honor Ark, Emeral, Trapeze, Castel, Dweller, and Quasar, but left him wide open. He was also running 3 Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spells much to my dismay, and negated my Nekroz Cycle play from the game, so I sat on Juggler and Vanity while he struggled to get a Monarch to tribute summon from his graveyard Primes. Eventually I got Dance Princess out, and I misplayed very hard that I had Decisive Armor in my hand the whole time to end the game since he was at 3300~ life left. So I kinda hit myself hard in frustration when I didn't do it, but the moments after were godly amazing. While I did not know that, I Foolished into Clausolas to prepare for Trishula, but opponent Reinforce Truths into Idea, then when I get Cowboy, he Escalations me and tribute his Idea + Eidos into Mega Zaborg, killing Dance Princess. I was able to get Juggler's effect and get a Tricklown to poke more damage after I summoned Trishula with Mirror and got rid of his Zaborg and grave Eidos. He summons Erebus and bounces Trish, and leaves me with Clown. Here's where the sacks come in. I topdeck Senju, and search a Mirror, then overlaid into Crazy Box, the one Xyz I run that works with Unicore, and throughout the duel, the effect to negate a card on the field by rolling a 4....I rolled it twice. In a row. He had about After he got rid of Crazy Box, I topdeck Gishki Vision, and Mirrored into the Decisive Armor and brought down Aither, but eventually he also bounced back Armor and left me with Cairngorgon, the last Xyz I got. I just kept floating on Clown and set Ju's while preparing for the next turn. Then everything went downhill from there as my life started dwindling. Topdecked Kaleido when I had Claus and Valk in hand, but he cockblocked with another Cursed Seal...another one. The one I searched with the banished Dance Princess I have since I had no other Nekroz monsters in the grave when Trish was bounced by Omega which was sent by Zaborg. By then he had summoned Kuraz and killed 2 of my monsters, giving me a free +2 for the next turn. At this point was just praying for a miracle since I didn't search the correct Ritual Spell and should have conserved the mirror in my deck when I should have added Kaleido to Ritual into Armor. So I prayed for that one specific card. And then RNG delivered. Topdecked Prep of Rites and added Gungnir and the Mirror in Grave, Ritualed Claus and a Juggler in hand into Gungnir, and he had only 100 LP left with my 2500 Gungnir versus his 2400 Kuraz, yet he still had Escalation, and wouldn't you know it, he tributed into another Kuraz and popped the Escalation and Gungnir. I was then forced to use Valk to survive that turn. And then when it seemed hope was just a myth, I just had topdeck the one and only...Raigeki. But nope. Effing Cursed Seal. Again. The third one. Used. In the end I was stuck with a Gishki Vision and Nekroz Cycle, all with the potential to make a comeback if not for that one...stupid...counter trap...which was played..at 3.. Needless to say, I had some salt, but it was cleared away pretty quick. A good loss, but it's pretty much a tale that goes to show...you can never give up. I'm the funking. Ultimate. Luck. Student. Then he proceeded to say in PM that I can't spell "technically" correctly and that I don't understand how Edea works. It's pretty bad, but it's a fun deck. Plus the salt some people provide after being hit with a 2700 ATK Thunder-Pegasus for game is unbelievable. My opponent was using a Raidraptor Deck, and I was looking to test out my Sybil Deck. Though. looking at the Deck size, I don't think this is a Raidraptor Deck's (or most Decks for that matter) average size. I just flipped their Raidraptor face-down and they quit.
