[spoiler=130 thoughts]Pretty much the bulk of this episode was Yugo vs Yuri vs Edo/Kaito, or pretty much trying to snap Yugo out of his crazy mode. It technically works, but only after Edo summons his new monster.Kaito and Edo lose, well, if only to protect Yugo after they blew up Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon. (So much for the new ace, Edo, but it did accomplish something. Can't say the same for Yuri, other than him getting it out via Super Poly. Well, it did kill off two players, but yeah.)Yuzu's getting absorbed already, considering system is at 50%Fiendmagnet is cool.At the very least, they at least got Yugo out of being possessed. (I spent some of the episode wondering how Yuri was gonna nab SVFD back from Kaito)- Not surprised Aster/Kaito were defeated, I mean it was implied when we got the info on the episodes tbph, at least Aster managed to snap Yugo out of crazy mode using his new ace, though I didn't think Aster would sacrifice himself and Kaito to save CWSD from GVFD's effect. I really want him to win, but Edo and Kaito drained all of his resources except Crystal Wing in the process of un-evilling him. Crystal's effect is used already and Yuri still has cards in hand, and Greedy Venom will inevitably come back somehow. Plus, I doubt the writers will let Yuri die off so easily... Guess him getting the upper hand reflects what Leo told Reiji earlier about him straightforward. (Konami, when are we getting C/C's released?) Oh right, and seeing as Yugo isn't mentioned, either their duel gets canceled again OR he loses; probably latter. 132: Yusho's dueling for real now? OK, this had better be good since all of the times he has dueled were either to run the hell away or cancel Yuya going crazy. Seriously, he only played 1 card in each duel. So basically, modified YS16 vs Predator Plants. 133: Hmm, Performapals can push Yuri back (I'm saying YS16 since I severely doubt Yusho has access to the Pendulum ones that we hated as EMEm/PePe). Although Yuri not caring about getting creamed gives the indication that he has something else in store. ----Going to predict Yuri will win. Edo and Kaito join the Duel, which is fine, and kind of expected. The part that got kind of weird for me is that both Kaito and Edo focused ENTIRELY on Yugo, to the point where Yuri was just kind of there. Admittedly, Yugo was super-hostile and Clear Wing was going to be a massive nuisance with its negation effect, it still seemed kind of weird. Kaito used a bizarre number of plot device...wait, what am I saying? Kaito's Deck has ALWAYS been plot device cards. It was part of why I always liked his Duels - the clever ways he used seemingly restricted-use cards (He did this a LOT in Zexal until Galaxy support became a thing). And it was kind of nice for Edo to be focusing on snapping Yugo out of berserk mode. The part that made me wince a little was that Yugo had so many counters to Kaito and Edo's plays. Why is that uncomfortable? Because it tells me that if Kaito and Edo hadn't interfered, Yugo had a legitimately solid chance of holding off Yuri for a while. He had a Trap to negate attacks and bump his monster's ATK, a Graveyard Tuner to negate an attack, a Tuner in hand he could SS during the End Phase if the opponent SSed from the Extra Deck, and reflects Battle Damage directed at it, a Trap that reflects Effect Damage and can burn if the opponents' monster ATK changes, provided he controls a Speedroid, and Clear Wing itself. Yay for Yugo breaking free, but the real shame of this episode is how incredibly RUSHED the next scene was. Yuri draws, Summons a Predator Plant and uses Super Poly with Starve Venom. I had a feeling he'd use Super Poly somehow, because it'd be dumb to go out of the way to inform us against Asuka that he HAD such a powerful card (and is fitting with Starve Venom in general), but the whole Fusion was kind of rushed, and we didn't really get much chance to savor or dread the arrival of Greedy Venom, which makes the scene kind of unremarkable in that sense. All the other Dragon upgrades had a powerful dramatic moment (as did each of the dragon's base form's Summon), but Greedy Venom was obviously rushed because they crammed too much into this episode, and it was almost all Duel. Greedy Venom's effect is, unsurprisingly, better in the anime than RL. Just like Starve Venom, the RL version doesn't have the "when this dies, burn the hell out of the opponent" effect. It was nice for Edo to protect Yugo, and even see Kaito give a nod of approval before the decision was made, but it still feels too rushed. I expect that next episode, Yuri will reveal that Greedy Venom revives itself, and then he'll probably make a reversal using that Trap card he drew this turn. Yugo is almost definitely screwed. There's no doubt in my mind about that. Now then, the previews. I'm curious to see how Reira vs Reiji goes. And yeah, 132 makes it pretty clear that Yugo got beaten. Yuri probably absorbed him, then, and wants to complete the merge with Yuya/Yuto. And Yusho is going to Duel Yuri? That should be spectacular. In a cheesy, but undoubtedly gut-wrenching finish, since the previews make it pretty clear Yuri is going to win. The thing that fascinates me about these past few episodes and how Yuya is being overwhelmed by Zarc is that this isn't NORMAL for most Yugioh animes, where the protagonist is almost definitely going to be the final obstacle of the plot. I'm convinced that rather than the usual "protagonist, teamed up with 1 or more of his closest rivals vs ultimate villain", it'll be more like Reiji, Jack, and maybe someone else Dueling against Zarc or similar. I'm pretty sure Jack has to be involved somehow in all this. He was brought back for a reason, and he's a parallel to Yuya's own ideals, so it would be fitting to have Jack help fight Zarc. Yuya'll probably try to stop him, but it won't work as Yuri is heartless anyway. Though, if Yuya does merge in anger, then Leo will have a point about him being the devil and needing to stop the reincarnation. (To be fair, I prefer the more serious Yuya like he was a couple episodes ago, as opposed to when he doesn't shut up about egao and turning duels into literal circuses.) [spoiler=Thoughts on 131 RAW]- I almost forgot about the gimmicks of Reira's deck as it's been ages since he last duelled (which if I remember was against the security guys like 40-odd episodes ago), and ofc he (and by extension Reiji) have new toys to show off as well.Not gonna lie though, Reira's deck kinda makes me think of the Eidolon stuff- Whelp, RIPerino Yuzu, she's dissipated as a result of the progress of Arc-V- and ofc Yuri won against Yugo, though it's neat that the final attack was with their base form dragons and not the evolutions.Though with both of them using that Extra Deck thingy trap card that revives ED monsters, the first I thing I thought of was when Jade/Zane used Battle Fusion in GX.
