urrah, a Gemini Archetype! They seem like they could be pretty neat, and hey, it's a Level 8 Archetype too, sort of.

Yes! The first ever pure Gemini archetype! They actually seem practical, having effects that search, Special Summon, destroy, and protect. But only time and testing will tell. They likely won't be anything Top tier, but it's nice to see that they haven't forgotten about this monster Type.

Technically we have had a lot that use them, such as Red-Eyes, E-HERO, Ancient Gear and Gem-Knights. I know what you mean, but just pointing out how there are some that have used them in various ways.

Yes; I'm fully aware of that. What I'm trying to say is that this is that this is the first archetype to be comprised mostly (if not completely) of Gemini monsters, as opposed to the archetypes you named, which only carry a few.

HOLY HELL, A GEMINI ARCHETYPE.

sheet like this makes me put up with Konami.

Anyway, I'm going to say this about the Spell/Traps: They are very, very good. Spark World can be teched into ANY Gemini deck and resolves major problems most of them. Not to mention is is searchable, and can pop stuff for you. One question: When you banish a Gemini monster for the pop effet, does it retain its effect when it returns to the field?

Burn Out is cool, as no level restriction makes it an instant Cipher Dragon or whatever R8 you want. As I've said, most Geminis have great stats so Burn Out's banish effect is actually good for protecting yourself.

Hy Dragon is... Nice? Most Geminis have high stats, so they don't need to worry about that. The protection effect is nifty though Gemini decks from my experience rarely have cards to spare for the pop.

Dyonex is a big beater who can pop sheet and protect your Geminis from BTH and the like. Bit underwhelming for a level 8 but still nifty.

Hydron Hawk is cool. Basically that Insect-type Gemini that could tribute itself to revive a Gemini, it does the same for a lesser cost but doesn't restore their effect.

Oyxn Ox is awesome as it is ANY Gemini, meaning you've access to any level under 9 and above 1 for an Xyz or Synchro play. sheet, summon Tuned Magician, equip Supervise and summon Omega before reviving one of the two level 8 so you can have further giggles. It also gives you a beater on the fly.

Carbon Crab is nice, letting you get stuff you need in the graveyard there for easy revival and searching stuff you need.

The best thing is, their main gimmick as Gemini monsters makes it impossible to make the effects broken. This means matches with these guys should be fun.

OH MY GOD. KONAMI SUPPORTS GEMINIS. they finally decided that they actually want our money.

Supervise now needs to be easily searchable.

Hidden Armory?

I can see it being used in conjunction with Terraforming to bypass the "no normal summon"

While the monsters (other than crab and maybe ox) are really bad, the S/Ts make it worth. Hopefully, we'll be getting Xyzs for these before long.

That doesn't work. No Normal Summon means NO Normal Summon.

The flavor of these! All of the yes! I've always wanted an element-based archetype ever since GX and Hydrogeddon/Oxygeddon.

They're all extremely useful for Gemini support as a whole with Spark World as the best of the bunch. I guess my only complaint is that there's no in-archetype LIGHT Monster for Brilliant Fusion Gem(ini)-Knight support if you don't open Terra/Spark World. Will need to reserve further judgment until I see 'em in action for myself.

One question: When you banish a Gemini monster for the pop effet, does it retain its effect when it returns to the field?

I think it becomes a Normal Monster again, based on Gemini monsters vs Future Visions.

I just love their theme of being some chemical things.

Also that field-spell. They went all-out there.

But it does seem like the S/T will need to carry the deck on their back (the field is godly and generic, and the trap seems awesome, although the 2nd effect may be a bit clunky).

Because the monsters doesn't seem to be that much worth the investment (at least Crab and Ox have decent effects, that gives you hand or field advantage, but again they all rely too much on the field-spell, or other unreliable gemini support I guess).

Their Xyz is still amazing tho, I guess a build focused on summoning it could work (although still fragile against S/T removal).

Also, perhaps they are going to have R2s alongside the R8? That would be awesome.

Hawk is really good.

Dragon is weird, but it's cute.

Crab is funking perfect.

Burnout is going to lead to a lot of silly plays.

Ox is weird, but it's cool.

Dyox is neat; seems better then Dragon.

Spark is really good; it's 3rd effect is strange.

I like how, flavor wise, Carbon Crab + Oxygen Ox = Carbon Dioxide Dyox.

A bit disappointed that the Level2s aren't Level4 for synergy with Gemini Spark.

That Extra Normal Summon effect on the Field Spell is amazing; it's what Geminis needed the most IMO. Actually, the Field Spell as a whole looks amazing, having those 3 effects in a single card.

The Level8 Fiend and its effect of "banish archetype card to target X; destroy that target" effect reminded me of Hyperion, Priestess of Prophecy, and old school archetype "bosses".

Wiki seems to claim these are called "Chemical Bests".

Honestly, what has to be the most fascinating aspect of these has to be there anatomy.

I mean, the main thing I like, detail wise, is that they have chemical structures inside of them that are made to look like a form of armature/resemble an internal skeleton/etc. It's really funking cool.

Also, I'm PREEEEEEETY sure are missing one/will get another Main Deck member later/etc. Ox and Crab become Dyox. Hawk and ??? becomes Dragon.

Yey! gemini support finally! after all of this time! Now Konami, when will you give me my beloved Spirit archetype that I've been waiting like forever?

So to talk about this archetype, wouldnt this deck work with the new Chinera Beast or the Hide Xyz monster that was revealed yesterday? The two level 8 geminis? anyone?

This is the theme that Xyz belong to. We just haven't figured out a proper translation for their name.

Bastion would be proud.

The fact that this is a Gemini Archetype is the most interesting. Dying to see the Extra Deck.

So, the Xyz has a more plausible chance of being Summoned due to the archetype. Maybe the Synchro will have one.
