An example is what happened last year between the 49ers and the Rams (football example, but it highlights the point well) where the game was called a tie after overtime was finished. The game was never redid and the tie was apart of their season record. Granted overtime doesn't exist, but the same concept exists aside from that. You get what I'm saying?
