There's a thing called "AdBlock". Ads are no problem to me. [spoiler='Small opening spoiler from Ep 54']Wow they changed from "Action Duel" explanation to "Riding Duel" explanation in pre-Opening. mshends Posted May 3, 2015 Report Share Posted May 3, 2015 [spoiler=54 thought] Ok in this episdoe we finally get to see how Rin looks like (they do look alike...) -So The top 1% of the population (called the Tops) control 99% of the city's wealth, whereas the rest of the 1% known as the Commands live in slums. -The only way for the Commands to become part of the Tops is by winning duels, particularly in a championship known as the Friendship Cup. -New speed world is cool (but really, they have to add Neo to it -_-) -Juri appeared in Heartland after he captured Rin, witnessing the duel between Ute and Hugo. Timeline15 Posted May 3, 2015 Report Share Posted May 3, 2015 [spoiler ep54 RAWs] I spent most of this episode internally squealing like a little girl. Completed opening! The riding duel prologue was awesome, and jack and crow get properly revealed. Yugo is amazing, as expected, and he is finally brought up to speed by Yuzu on the rest of the plot. So NDC is still divided into tops and satellite, just not in the same way as before, with tops being built on platforms above the main city. so I guess this 'friendship cup' Yugo was gonna enter is the equivalent of the fortune cup, but because of Yuri's interference, Yugo never entered, and Jack is still king. Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted May 3, 2015 Report Share Posted May 3, 2015 [spoiler=54] Jack Atlas confirmed to return and Yugo idolizes him to bits. All hail the King! A lot of the scenes in this episode are very similar to some in 5Ds. Then again, same guy directed both series. It would appear that Sector Security got reinstated in this generation, or the Police Department got a new head after 5Ds ended. We get a glimpse of Rin, and yeah Yuri kidnapped her. Yuzu cries, although likely due to missing everyone. Speed World returns (and I miss watching 5Ds) Yugo learns about the Dimensional War and his counterparts. So now you know. Yugo apparently grew up in a similar environment to Crow and stuff. City looks like a hyped up version of Neo Domino. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Opening Spoilers] Remember Trudge's dialogues before BELIEVE IN NEXUS and Asu e no Michi - ROAD TO TOMORROW? Something similar, but Arc-V related. Yeah, 5Ds vibes confirmed. Old scenes replaced with Jack and Crow; 5Ds comes back, hell yes! Also contains things with Sector Security / Duel Chasers. Also, Jack is unshadowed in opening now. That's possible, but that doesn't actually explain why the Zero Reverse incident never happened. It could well be the Yusei's entire lineage doesn't exist, replaced by Yugo's, and d-wheels run off something less dangerous than they did In the original 5Ds. First reminder of 5Ds - New version of the opening features Security, Crow, un-silhouetted Jack and new characters. I honestly like the new version over the old version tbh. - Yuzu tells Yugo what she knows about the dimension war, so that he's up to speed. (pun intended) - We finally see Rin (who definitely looks like Effect Veiler) who is kidnapped by Yuri disappearing in the Violet Flash card. - Yuri spies on the duel that Yuto and Yugo have in the Xyz dimension - We learn that Yugo grew up in a similar manner to Crow and other kids in the satellite sector. - Yugo mentions this "Friendship Cup" whilst talking about Jack who he idolises (Jack most likely became Duel King by winning the Friendship Cup or smething) - Sector Security used Speed Word Neo (Like there was a need for Neo) to override Yugo's D-Wheel and force him to a Riding Duel (More throwbacks to 5Ds) - Vehicles were forced to vacate the duel lane when the Riding Duel began (Just like in 5Ds) - This Jean-Michel Rogers bloke reminds me of Rex Godwin. Yugo is adorable. I love him now. I also like how he seemed to genuinely be having an "Oh crap" moment when he realized Yuto wasn't actually an enemy and he seems to actually feel bad about it. Updated opening hu- JAAAACK. JAAAACK. JAAAACK. CROOOOOOW. And Jack has a new Duel Disk, neato. Little sad it's blade isn't straight like his old one but whatevs. Synchro Dimension seems to actually have the most varied Duel Disk designs thus far. We have the double-winged variety of Yuto's, we see the blade of Jack's looks like the majority of Standard Duel Disks, though with a triangle body, and the Security bros seem to have curved blades. Yuri (aka Mr. Steal Yo Girl) seen bein a dick as usual. RIDING DUERU, ACCELERATION! (New Speed World seems to only have an effect preventing it's destruction though... which makes me wonder WTF would happen if you bounced or banished it, since it says nothing about that). I wonder if it'll actually do anything like Speed World 2 did. Can't wait for next week. Everyone in Tops got very tetchy about Yugo's D-Wheel; No idea why. We see Rin. I like her design, and she DOES resemble Effect Veiler quite a bit. She was seen using Lucky Pied Piper; Uses Geminis maybe? Rin was kidnapped by Yuri first, and Clear Wing teleported Yugo to Heartland. Whether he was drawn specifically by the presence of 2 Dimensional Dragons in the same place or not is unclear (as this episode also indicated that Yuri WAS close to Yuto, and probably used the Duel as a distraction to snag Ruri without Yuto noticing), or it may very well have been tracking Yuri specifically. Unlikely, if only because Yugo hasn't been teleported to Academia directly. But new info is that Yugo saw Yuri's face. And what little of Yuri's hair beneath his cloak WOULD make Yuto look extremely similar. And this also meant Yugo was hostile by default, causing the confusion with Yugo being an enemy of Yuto. Subs will likely be ready by tomorrow (although it is that time of the year again, so...) And yeah, a lot of new characters that hopefully will get introduced as this goes on. But like some people here, more/less awaiting the return of Jack/Crow (and maybe the twins if they were important enough to be remembered here, but I doubt it). EDIT: Well, I'll keep this Ruka avi for a while. I don't have any of Jack/Crow (or even Yusei) so this will have to do. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BUT YOUR FIENDISH CHAINS! Jokes aside, it seems that this new Neo Domino is actually even more dystopian than the one in 5Ds. Wow. We got some new information, apparently the Dimensional Dragons or the doppelgangers are drawn to each other. Interesting. Also, the dynamics of the misunderstanding that led to Yugo and Yuto fighting were believable. By the way, not sure if anyone's said this but the cape Yuri was wearing was likely a shout out to the Rare Hunters in DM. Nice nod to the past. Worth noting that this time, Jack isn't hiding that he's a Common, unlike in 5Ds, where he hid the fact that he was originally from Satellite. Yuzu, as usual, is a smart girl.
