Rituals are the only one of the five summoning mechanics that don't involve the Extra Deck. Though I could just be delusional. I've also been thinking for a while that it could be something like that. The accessibility of each mechanic reflects how it is pretty much unlocked, even in the real life game, but Rituals are the less explored by far. Before Gishiki and Nekroz cards were a thing, the game only had about 30 Rituals, and still to this day there are Levels and at least an Attribute of Rituals that have never been made. Not to mention the bast majority of Rituals outside of those archetypes I mentioned are vanilla Rituals. Maybe it could be a prelude to something that's going to happen at some point? We know Fusions were actually the first biggest thing in both the anime and the meta game IRL at around the same times. Now we'll most likely see Synchros invading the meta soon. and well, Rituals are a weird thing to do for Pendulums compared to all other mechanics because they could probably be set directly from the hand as Scales just like regular Pendulums, but would still most likely need a clause similar to the one Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon has when dying in order to be Pendulum Summoned at all. Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted April 27, 2015 Report Share Posted April 27, 2015 [spoiler=53] Yuya had the opportunity to make Dark Rebellion, drain its ATK power twice and then hit Biker Queen for a lot more damage but he didn't. Magical Sky Mirror is basically his plot device card to copy Smile World for whatever reason. Some feels moments with young Yuya and Yuzu. Yuya wins and gets his motivation back. Reiji tells them that they're off to the Synchro Dimension. Finally, we get some post-5Ds stuff. Not sure if I heard it properly, but Shun appears to have issues with Reira coming around (doesn't sound like Shun thinks he's battle-ready) Then again, how old is Reira anyway? 10 or something. Shun yells at Yuya again about Yuto, but guess Yuto's spirit came in and explained it somehow. Yuya finds out that Yuzu is in the Synchro Dimension, after Serena spilled it somewhat and Reiji confirmed it. [/spoiler] Overall, it was a nice episode. Even though the audience were skeptical and thought that The existence of invaders from a different dimension Was nothing but an outrageous lie, They were astonished when they saw the footage Of our battle against Academia… They then praised us as heroes. But…I wasn’t able to protect Yuzu. Yuuya: I will become stronger than before And take down my enemies! I will bring Yuzu back no matter what! Yuuya: Out of nowhere, Mom decided to challenge me to a Duel. Yuushou: Settling your scores and grudges… Don’t use Dueling for these kinds of stuff! SHOOTING STAR Yoko: Then what am I supposed to do? Am I supposed to just abandon my friend? Yuushou: If you have to Duel… You have to have some fun with it! Smile World, activate! So 5Ds takes place in the Synchro Dimension. Zexal takes place in the Xyz Dimension (the hell were you Yuma when all that shit went down? Saving Astral world?) and by that logic one would assume GX takes place in the Fusion Dimension. This explains the seemingly non-Coherent timelines as the other summoning methods are more or less absent from each series. It simply makes them different timelines altogether. But in like the first episode of GX, Jaden bumps into Yugi. Speaking of which, Yugi is the only character that we actually have no idea what dimension he could be from. We assume Standard, but then how could he be in the Fusion Dimension with Jaden? Yugi is omnipotent, transcendent being from a 5th dimension confirmed. Every series took place in standard so far, bar maybe ZeXal. It was confirmed that the dimensions are alternate worlds. Jack and Croware not the same Jack and Crow. And Yusei won't show up. If they ware going to show us the other dimensions, they will have to either go through them very fast or jump between them a lot, otherwise I am not sure how much plot they can make in those worlds.
