Your Happy Place

What is your happy place? The place, or time, etc, where you're feeling most at ease. This could be doing some action, being in a specific place, talking to certain people, whatever comes to mind. Basically "What makes you happy".

And when I say this I mean truly happy, and content. Not just makes you smile, but really makes you feel good.

Such thing has changed a many over the years, but the one thing that will never change is the gracious gift that is music. I've always dedicated myself to such and outside of YCM is where I stand out most in. It can be a good ol' Pop flow, a loud Rock anthem with a monstrous riff, a Rap track with a killer MC, or an Electronic track with coherent and fluent sounds throughout, it really just is a matter of quality, which can come from mainstream names like Kanye West, Coldplay, and DJ Snake and lesser known names like The Sounds, Heatbeat, and Jorn. Just absorbing myself in the passion of quality music is more than enough for me to take in and enjoy amongst a long day at work or a night of juggling DP when I did that or 2099 now. It's just as much so when I go out and make it, where really putting effort towards a great tune or two really is something, especially if said tune winds up getting you somewhere. While I'm not quite on the level I used to be, I still am able to guide people to feeling the same thing I can for about 5 or 6 minutes from a track of my own, so I continue to do such.

I get a lot of those moments from singing. Music has always been a major part of my life, and when I sing, it feels like I've entered a different world.

Another thing that relaxes me is reading. I love to read, though unfortunately I haven't been able to do that nearly as much. Writing, funnily enough, can be a bit stressful. Same with video games, though I love them both and they generally cheer me up regardless.

Last thing is being outside around nature. It might sound dumb, but I really love things like sitting on a bench, hearing the birds chirp, watching the play of sunlight on water, and feeling the wind on my face.

I like to laugh and chat with friends I feel comfortable with, but they don't really give me the same feeling. More like, I get hyped up, instead of relaxed and at peace.

When I know whatever I'm currently obsessing about isn't true and I'm not actually going insane. Or if I'm trying to convince myself the opposite, that it is true and that I am actually not something. I obsess over things ridiculously. I mean, my mind is always so active and always has been to the point where I can never actually really turn it off, so a brief respite is lovely.

Brief respite being a few seconds to a minute at most. I don't think I ever stop thinking.

My happy place is fictional. My happy place is when I'm working on a character, event, location, and so on. Be it RP or story, or anything of that sort. I feel most at ease and happy when I'm creating. One reason when I don't write for a while I slip into more and more of a funk.
