T(o)ra(h)mid Sphinx/Tramid Sphinx
Level 10 EARTH Rock-Type Special Summon Effect Monster
ATK 2500
DEF 2500

(1) If a “Tramid” monster, other than “Tramid Sphinx”, you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon this card from your hand.
(2) If you control another “Tramid” card, this card gains 500 ATK for each different Field Spell Card in your Graveyard, also your opponent’s monsters cannot attack, except attacking “Tramid Sphinx”.

Oooh, a new Archetype.

So they're EARTH Rocks who apparently like Field Spells a lot. Probably will be really easy to summon. Unusually low stats for a Level 10, though simply having a Field Spell in your Grave (and if you're playing Tramids, you ARE running Field Spells) already bumps this to 3000 if you control another Tramid card, and better yet, it doesn't even have to be a monster, it can even be the archetype's themed Field Spell (when it's revealed). And it also protects all of your other monsters from being attacked.

It's hard to say how good this card will be when it's the only card of the Archetype revealed so far, but I'm looking forward to how these guys will develop.

Can't wait for the rest of the cards.

FINALLY! Rock is definitely up there as one of, if not my favorite, types and on top of that I've wanted an archetype that focuses on different field spells to be a thing for nearly as long!

As an aside though... I know this is a stretch, but... this is a Sphinx card as well. Anyone thinking that the next Structure Deck R could be the Exxod Rock-Flip one?

What pack is this in, btw?

The Dark Illusion; the one coming out in a couple weeks.

Until the other Tramids are revealed, can't say much about this card as to how good it'll be in the long run, but the premise seems interesting thus far. I don't know if SR03 will be a retrain of SD7 though; just have to wait and see how the rest of them work.

Let's hope so. The last 4 decks they've made all ended up being Meta good.

Heroes- so good it had to be neutered

Magicians- so good it had to be neutered

Monarchs- so good it had to be neutered

Felgrand- Jinx

You know, for a minute I thought this was some kind of leak of what the villain will be using in Dark Side of Dimensions, and I was just there like: More villains with a freaking field spell fetish?! But, then I read more. Can't say much on the card till I the rest of the cards. Be crazy if this turned out to be a Rank 10 spam archetype.

From that one low-rest teaser we saw all I could tell was "Okay, it's Level 10 and it looks EARTH" and, well, you can probably tell where my TRAIN of thought went from there.

Of course, I'm also not the kind of person who's just going to see Level 10 or even Level 10 Machine and assume Trains, so seeing Rock I already counted the immediate obvious opportunities. So, by now the potential for the card to be a better choice than Shaddolls or Machinas was rapidly dwindling.

But, it hasn't disappeared.

With an obvious flavor on Field Spells (and not even archetypical ones at that; Field Spells in general), and the obviously complimentary level and apparent ease of summon, there could be some real Rank 10 potential with this archetype. Of course, this all depends on the rest of the cards, but my attention has been grabbed.

...You do realize they've already leaked what the villain's going to be running in the movie, right? I mean, effects haven't exactly been released, but we know for sure it's not this.

Would be neat if the Archetype got Field Spells that could replace eachother, to boost this card by quite a lot.

Chicken Game / Pseudo Space....watch them get a 2800/1000 just to abuse dominion too

oh yay they're releasing support for Chicken game!

No lies, I can see Chicken Game and Terraforming going to 1 in the not too distant future

kinda a bit disappointed when seeing this in the Org first. as the topic refer it as the boss of the archetype, which quite unbelievable in regard of its effect. but to be fair... in Chicken game shenanigan it will gain at least 500-1000 a turn before ending it with playing the archetype specific field (which suppose help the gimmick or engine if not boost it further first, given the meta). even without immunity (which also excluding this card [or archetype] as Rank food), it still a a 3000-3500 battle wall of assume to be a removal-pseudo-bait that open to be summoned by all card type under the Sun as long its name is Tyramid

*Crosses fingers* Please don't be like Digital Bugs. Please don't be like Digital Bugs. Please don't be like Digital Bugs. This game needs a decent Rock deck that isn't Rock Stun, so PLEASE don't be like Digital Bugs.

My thoughts exactly. We need a new Rock-Type archetype; one that's decent, at least. It doesn't appear too hard to Summon, but who knows.

>Chicken Game

>Pseudo Space

>Hypothetical Archetypal Field Spell(s?)

>Clear World (Because honestly the EARTH effect is hardly annoying)

>Mausoleum (If there's more worthwhile 5+ Monsters. Maybe.)

And of course, there's silly generic-ish options you could always use like Extra Net, Summon Breaker, and whatever.

If no Extra Deck cards + wildly varying levels, Seal of Orichalcos may have a legitimate home.
