I'm thinking of a bigger collab, "Barrk-".

 

Basically, we'll need three or four people working on this at once, because my concept is a bit of a doozy:

Combine the burn damage of Volcanics, the discard mania of Fabled, and the lockdown capacity of FLIPRocks/Dark Scorps into one Plant-Type archetype.

 

You picturing it yet? Good!

 

Now give them a boss partway between Vennominon, Overdragon, and Megarock, as well as Fusions and Synchros.

 

To explain:

All monsters in the archetype deal burn damage.

"Barrk-Bit" monsters are exclusively Tuners, and are generally Level 3 and below. They do their burn damage when they hit the Graveyard, and they are FLIP monsters on the field that can Set themselves face down again and again to maintain locks and advantage.

 

"Barrk-Armor" monsters range from Levels 3 to 6, and are the other major player in the Main Deck. They act like Fabled monsters/Dark Scorpions, having discard effects and effects that trigger on Battle Damage, with the burn effect usually folding into one or the other. Unfortunately for your opponent, these things also contribute to a stun.

 

Lastly, we have "Barrk-Knight" monsters, which sit in the Extra Deck. These, generally speaking, let you recoup the card advantage you lost as well as keep the burn/stun going. However, them dying is usually an acceptable loss, because the last monster in the archetype pulls no punches . . .

 

Barrk-Fragment Dragon

EARTH - Level 10 - Plant/Effect - ?/?

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Can only be Special Summoned (from your hand or Graveyard) by banishing 1 or more Plant-Type monsters in your Graveyard. This monster's original ATK and DEF are equal to the number of monsters banished to Summon this monster times 500. This monster can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each. If this monster would be destroyed, you can reduce this monster's ATK and DEF by 500 instead.

Should be a fun addition to the AGM. Should you need help, either for the super-protected Infernoid/Lightsworn monstrosities, or for the supportive spamming Dark World/Volcanic little guys, I'm a resource.

I'll probably make a couple of promotions from that list as I look through it.

 

How about mine that have yet to be promoted?

Darkhorse (probably a good idea- fast, consistent, and act like BW meets Dark Scorpions. Only potential issues are War Horse's double battle damage and Victory's on-Summon HFD.)

GameChild (probably not a good idea- slow, lacking in searches, and a draw power machine. Most members are pretty situational, but would make okay Side Deck techs for the lulz. Only potential issues are Ultimate Evil, which brings back everything that's been banished, and Vespid, which devours five entire Types whole.)

D-Order (a good idea- Pendulum Warriors who are based on Dragons and pseudo-Dragons [Megarock and Cyber]. No real issues.)

Aeon (probably not a bad idea- based on protagonist cards, and not particularly good or bad. They banish, a lot. The only potential issue is "Vessault, Master of the Aeons", their Final Boss card- it requires 3 cards that are already boss-level.)

Jetsects/Mecharachnids (probably a decent idea. No real problems, but most of the cards aren't good, either.)

Command Titans (probably a really bad idea. Self-Summoning Level 10s that come our when a Field Spell is destroyed, that search certain Field Spells upon death).

I promote your Dark Horse and Aeon

 

Could someone promote my Dulcsister and/or Shinigami archetype? Or if Shinigami's too much, my Mint Chocolate Chip archetype?

Level 4

FIRE/Pyro

ATK: 500 DEF: 1500

 

If you control "Brimstone" monsters with a combined level of 4 or higher, you can special summon this card. You can only special summon "Sec From The Land Of Brimstone" once per turn this way, and if you do, target 1 monster your opponent controls; Negate its effect this turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent. You can only use this effect of "Sec From The Land Of Brimstone" once per turn.

Level 4

ATK: 1000 DEF: 1500

 

If you control "Brimstone" monsters with a combined level of 4 or higher, you can special summon this card. You can only summon "Ces From The Land Of Brimstone" once per turn this way. Once per turn: You can pay 500 LP; Send 1 "Brimstone" monster from your deck to the graveyard. If this card is sent to the graveyard: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent. You can only use this effect of "Ces From The Land Of Brimstone" once per turn.

1 "Brimstone" tuner + 1 or more non-tuner monsters

During your Main Phase 1, you can reveal 3 different "Brimstone" cards from your deck to your opponent; Your opponent chooses 1 and you add it to hand, then shuffle the rest into your Deck. You can only use this effect of "Tre From The Land Of Brimstone" once per turn. When your opponent takes effect damage: Increase this card's ATK by 300. During your End Phase: You can send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the graveyard.

The prompt required the Pyro-Type monsters to be DARK, so you have to make an edit to Sec and Ces, but they look interesting so far.

I'd assume from the hand, but yeah PSCT requires that you specify where you're summoning it from (hand, Deck, Graveyard or if it's banished).

I go to lunch and suddenly we have Buster Blader's archetype to counter most everything else with, and Majespecter is 2/3 of the way to getting added.

 

In order to give the poor Space Cruisers something to do, I'm tempted to add in Numbers, but that would also give us all the Utopia bull we don't need, Shock Bastard, and all the other degenerative Numbers. Are there any good high-Rank Xyz for the Cruisers to use that don't involve Numbers?

I'm really avoiding adding too many generic R4 cards, because Fungal Serpents are excellent spam for it with some solid revival options. However, I'm tempted to give them King of the Feral Imps, just so that they can be competitive.
