We need to figure out who is who and what types they use, what sections are towns & cities.

I want this all filled in and we need to discuss how to do it.

This is important.

- Need to decide on their Rematch and Chateau teams, which follow the exact rules of the Gym Leader's Team 3 as seen above.

I'm still trying to figure out how we do this, since I figure it should be a team effort, but we need rules for how to go about doing it.

There are a few rules that'd need to be implemented, obv:

A Type can't repeat in any Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member
Gym Leaders cannot be from the same location
Once a member abd type are matched up, that member can choose any pokemon they want to fill the numbered requirement; though I may choose levels the mons have to be at.

Wandering Trainer seems to default to the generic pokemon trainer. Why not Wandering/Pokemon Breeder?

Edit: Or do you mean Wandering in the sense that he/she visits all forums and sections with no said one to call "home"?

So the other HMs off the top of my head could be any of the following:

Rock Smash
Rock Climb
Waterfall (I thought that was a Main HM?)
Dive
Whirlpool
Flash
Defog

...and I think that's it? Either our region is extra watery, extra rocky, or dark/foggy. Or could we come up with other HMs maybe?

Anyway, I guess I'd have to be a water-type gym leader. (Or at the very least a water-type trainer somewhere)

[spoiler=This is how I'd see YCM at least. Feel free to add/agree/disagree/whatever]

Sakura is the Professor. He's the main greeter in Introductions and is one of the overseers of CC, where every member on this site starts. This also has Intro be the hometown, for obvious reasons.

I think Card Contests and 1v1 should be the Battle Frontier type of place. Or more specifically, Contests is Frontier and 1v1 is Battle Maison.

If you take all of the sections on the site related to cards (whether CC or TCG), you get 8. So I say those are the 8 towns where the Gym Leaders reside. From there, I'd say top/active members in those sections are the Gym Leaders. Or make Mods the Gym Leaders, whatever works.

For Pokémon Contests, reserved for visual spectacles, should be Showcase. Contest Champion depends on the season and/or whoever's active at the time.

Status Bar should be GTS/Online hub. Either hilarious and stupid interactions occur there, or statuses asking for Mews are completely ignored.

Role Playing will be where the climax of YCM's "plot" plays out. Our equivalent to Cave of Origin, the Reverse World, N's Tower, etc. Because that's where the characters will assume and play out their roles trying to tell and finish up a story.

General is where all members can go and head towards, regardless of type and background. And sort of where members get the most serious. So I say this is where Victory Road/Pokémon League is.

Multimedia is the area of the region you get to explore post-game, like Sevii Islands. Interesting story threads and trainers that didn't properly fit in the main story get to shine here and provide interesting side quests.

Misc represents all of the different routes in the region. Random people will come up and say something to you and the threads/areas take on differing themes depending on the day/trend.

As for member roles, I touched on Gym Leaders potentially being top members in the card sections or the Mods.

Elite 4 and Champ could either be:

-The Top 5 posters, because of most "experience." Meaning DL would be the Champion, and Black, Armz, Roxas and I would be the Elite 4 (didn't count Torma since he doesn't come here at all anymore).

-Members with the most reps. Armz would be the Champion, and I don't exactly know the other top rep members, I just know Black would still be in there.

-Past YMB winners. Black, Clair (albeit she's pretty much gone too), Hina, Armz and Roxas (there was a YModB once and Black won 2).

-Voted. Maybe open up a Poll where we all vote who we'd put in our Elite 4, and whoever's voted the most out of these is designated Champion.

The Syndicate higher-ups should be the members that were previously banned and came back. Rodrigo, J-Man, Welche, Dog King, whoever else I'm forgetting.

Other HMs should be:

Dive-Whenever drama happens, you bet we go diving into the ocean of posts and statuses to find out what happened.

Rock Smash-Rock-hard egos will inevitably clash and one will try to smash the other.

Flash-Sometimes we like to post flashy gifs and images to brighten up the area we're in.

Waterfall-Our way of reading through posts, usually if it's a big topic or if it's something you're trying to follow (like a TCG thread).

Make use of the fact that me and Pastry are twins in some way? Being gym leaders would push it though, especially since the only fitting type for that kinda thing would be psychic and well, done already. Since we are mostly in Misc for some reason, and I actually find many of Fusion's ideas (if not all) to make sense, we can finally have male twins. =D

I wouldn't quite like it but one of the "three pokemon" gym leaders, Normal type. With Miltank, Tauros, and Bouffalant, would make sense.

I was never a fan of the E4 having just 5 Mons but we'll see.

I also think that since you're the TC of an actually active club, especially relating to Pokemon, maybe you could also have the option of one of those special facilities anyway, like a Frontier Brain even if you don't do yugioz contests.

Post count was something I intended only apply to E4 and the Champ, if that idea was even went with. Beyond that, I don't think there should be a distinction between people with 12K or 3K either in terms of criteria.

What's the Level cap that you want the characters in here to have?

Each character would have a different level cap. Remember that in Pokémon, Gym Leader and Elite 4 levels are scaled to how far a trainer in the giving region is expected to have leveled up his mons. Generally speaking, then, depending on which gym a member is assigned, they may not be allowed to choose a larger evolution of a given mon.

I mean wandering in the sense that they're an extremely powerful trainer without any real title that just happens to be around and that you can battle. E.g. Red in GSC, Steven in Emerald, the Game Freak dude in BW, etc. Basically could be thought of as former champion I guess?

That actually sounds pretty good. Originally, I was thinking that evilfusion was going to be professor as (1) I wanted to split up the 3 Super Mods while still making them super relevant, (2) evilfusion is the go-to source for card rulings (besides darkwolf, but idk if he's around still). Might be something else we can get for evilfusion there. Sakura being the professor actually might be something I agree with wholeheartedly.

I still don't like the idea that the "main game" has to be centered around the card sections, no matter the "focus" of this site.

Honestly, for routes, I think we should just leave that as the main page/outside any threads.

For me, it seems Night should just be the Champion by default. Then the other 4 could be: Top Poster, Top Reps, a Mod who is voted in, a regular member who is voted in.
