YCM Economy: Advanced Cards Redemption Thread

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355128-agm-landmasters-they-be-rolling-and-youll-definitely-be-hating/  - Layundmasturrrs. Hard to comprehend, at first, but the combos that present themselves when you understand the cards are neat and simple.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/354890-written-support-for-the-white-dragon-with-eyes-of-blue/ - WEOB. Sounds like WEEB. Most of it is sub-par Blue-Eyes support, but the few cards that do a good job of making the archetype better do a brilliant job of doing such. Has some power issues towards the tail end, but it's manageable.

Already gave you points for last one.

Zodiac Demons:

Hello, new here, thought I might participate in this:

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355356-red-eyes-alternative-b-dragon/- "Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon" suffers from the same problem Konami does. Thinking that making cards from one archetype to mirror a card from the other is a good idea. I wish we'd get better Red-Eyes support.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355198-agm-written-cookie-kingdom/- "Cookie Kingdom" an archetype that makes me wish I could play the ridiculously combo heavy Synchro decks.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/354703-agm-written-t-rocks-legend-of-blue-eyes-with-a-vengeance/- "T-Rocks" a fun and simple beatdown deck.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/354126-original-1313arboreal-archetype-the-trees-have-eyes/- "Arboreals" YZ floating with some consistency issues, but its boss monster is interesting, and the idea of facing it in a duel seems appealing.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355299-tundragon-archetype-10/- "Tundragons" An archetype with a high skill ceiling, requiring a lot of attention to detail in how you're going to make each play to get the best field.

Red-Eyes Alternative: 1000

AGM Cookies: 2000 + int[15/4]x600 = 3800 (bumping to 4400 since you did review everything)

AGM T-Rocks: 2000 + int[11/4]x 600 = 3200 (bumping to 3800 since you reviewed everything)

Arboreal: 2000 + int[13/4] x 600 = 3200 (bumping to 3400 since you reviewed everything)

Tundragons: 2000 + int[10/4]x600 = 3200 (bumping to 3600 since you did everything)

AGM Landmasters: 2000 + int(7/4)x600 = 2600 (bumping up to 3200 since you did everything)

More Blue-Eyes stuff: 2000 + int(14/4)x600 = 3800 (bumping to 4400 since you did everything)

7600

-----

A few sidenotes; AGM stuff is technically designed for our own side format (which is markedly similar to the current meta), but yeah, now you know. (Tori knows this since they're in the club).

But yeah, it pays to review stuff :)

Thanks, and I put the divider there to separate the weeks.

Also, I'm trying to donate points, but I don't want to do Quick Donate in fear of choosing a different Sakura Haruno. Is there a way to do a non-quick donate to be sure?

Quick question, when you say up to 5 reviews every weeks, are we having to wait 7 days from our last review submission date to submit more, or does it start over every Sunday?

It resets every Sunday @ 12 am my time, so you can hypothetically submit your reviews for the week on Saturday; then start a new batch on Sunday if you wanted to.

(At time of posting, it's 8:59 pm Saturday [7/30/2016])

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355440-agm-written-renga-revealing-to-swarm-1313/ “Renga” - Revealing cards from the hand to summon similar to Alternative. Unfortunately doesn't have the strength of the Blue-Eyes archetype, but it's a lot more versatile.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/351078-shinigami-rest-in-peace/ “Shinigami” - The main deck monsters are mostly fine, the Synchros are non-targeting banishment & Gravelockdown the archetype. Needs so much more focus, and to be strictly tied to the archetype so it can't be splashed in everything. I split the review in 2, and didn't even bother with the Pendulums, because they seemed thrown in there for no reason.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355428-lost-face-down-attack-position-7/ “LOST” - Finally, a reason to run "Darkness Approaches". Though in all seriousness Face-Down attack is something I've wanted for a while, so it's cool to see it be made into an archetype. Since it's just starting out, it's a bit weak, but I see a lot of potential, especially in an easy way to negate continuous effects. It's unfinished, so if that affects anything, sorry.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/354890-written-support-for-the-white-dragon-with-eyes-of-blue/ “Blue-Eyes” support - Not as great as Fushi's review, though I did help them change a few cards to make them better before they came along.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355068-pokemon-archetype-full-images-displayed/ “Pokemon” cards... wait a minute! - In all seriousness, kind of gimmicky, need some work all around, and more focus on what they want to do. Split the review in 2 since the uploaded some new cards.

  • 連歌 : 4000
  • Shinigami: 8400 (and yeah, big Archetypes are literally a pain to grade; hence why we advise against them.)
  • LOST: 3200 (you'll have to take further design things up with Dova, but otherwise concept hasn't been toyed with due to impracticality. Yeah, Darkness Approaches finally does something useful)
  • Blue-Eyes stuff: 4600
  • Pokémon stuff: 4600 (I'll agree that these are pretty gimmicky as heck, given they go by the actual Pokémon mechanics. Mine are more/less generics that can fit into any Deck, despite some of their own flavor requirements)

And more points you shall receive.

I was actually fine with reviewing it, didn't bother me too much. I mean if someone made an archetype the size of "Blackwings", I'd be fine reviewing it if the cards all did something interesting and promoted you to try different playstyles and decks.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/354903-woidtex-archetype-1313/ "Woidtex" - sucks that it can't use the name "Voidtex". These are some cool fusion wind monsters, and I'd definitely like to see some more of them.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355299-tundragon-archetype-1414/ "Tundragons" - apparently there were 3 or 4 more left they wanted to make, so I reviewed them.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355568-diaemuswe/ "Diaemuswe" - A staple in any Rank 2 spam deck. I'm just imagining the nightmares this monster could give people along with Treetoad.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355599-writtenxenoblade-dragon/ "Xenoblade Dragon" - Honestly, just a nice generic Rank 8 Xyz monsters. Nothing too special.

This is 2/5 for this week.

Grief Dragons: 2000 + int[6/4]*600 = 2600

Shaddollconstellar Serpens: 1000

6800 in total (adding last week's stuff)

Woidtex: 2000 + 1800 (int 13/4 x 600) = 3800

(I guess you can still read it as Voidtex in German or something, but could be wrong about it)

Tundragon: 4000

Diaemuswe: 1000

Xenoblade: 800

(Not really fond of its alternate summon condition though)

Ultimate Full Burst: 1000

Schwarzestein: 3800 (yeah, the Xyz is somewhat worrisome, especially given BEs are still meta and CAN Rank 8 frequently if they want to; does the creator even understand that fact?)

AGM Bone Serpents: 3400

Shining Swords of Radiant Light: 1000 (your opinion is fine, since Spirit Dragon can use this to wipe boards [minus 1], then SS into Blue-Eyes.)

Claire: 1000

Shining Fallen Angel: 600

  • 2 weeks later...

3 of these are Red-Eyes support cards, kind of wish the OP had put them in Advanced Multiples, but they're still really good.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355993-red-eyes-vintage-dragon-the-great-gemini-growing-glider/ "Red-Eyes Vintage Dragon" - A little bit insane, as it has an easy summon condition that works in the favor of Red-Eyes as the hand is one of the less liked places for them to be. The fact that it auto makes Geminis into effect monsters seems a bit strong, as with two Black Flare Dragons, and Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon, you could deal 4800 burn damage without needing to take the time to Normal Summon them to gain these great effects, so I kind of wish it was an Xyz monster instead. The level boost is great for making your level 6 Red-Eyes able to be used for Rank 7's, though I wish that boost was 600, so it'd match Blue-Eyes, and it also works as disruption for Xyz plays if you're willing to make your opponent's monsters strong. I also love that it requires OG Red-Eyes to use, something the rest of the Red-Eyes archetype has failed spectacularly at.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355962-the-black-stone-of-antiques-cradle-to-grave-greatnesss-101/ "Black Stone of Antiques" - They changed the effects drastically after my first comment on it, so I added a new post about the changes made. Like White Stone of Ancients it's a retrain that kicks the crap out of its original counterpart. It helps promote lesser legacy support cards like "Black Metal Dragon" and make them more usable. Able to help promote Rank 7 Spam, and even get some use out of the other Stone for some Rank 7, it really is great. Also, with all the different levels of Red-Eyes monsters, you could make anywhere from Rank 6-10's with it a lot easier through shenanigans, further bolstered by Vintage Dragon.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/356040-flare-metalmorph-red-eyes-fusion-on-my-opponents-turn-yes-please/ "Flare Metalmorph" - Gives a lot more usability to Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, by making it easier to summon, and giving it protection like it's counterpart Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. Kind of wish it summoned from the Graveyard, as it'd be a lot easier to send Darkness Dragon there, but that would probably be a bit too strong. Anyway, it has a lot of versatility by having different effects based on whether or not the monster has an effect, which can help support multiple monsters like Meteor Dragon. Finally, it only destroys the equipped monster if it's destroyed, meaning if other forms or removal are used, the summoned monster will stay, and if it is destroyed, you get to finally use Red-Eyes Fusion during your opponent's turn, so you can still Special Summon during your own (as long as you didn't use Return of the Red-Eyes or any other Special Summons)

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355955-sunder-archtype-10/ "Sunder" archetype - An interesting idea to adapt Slifer's second mouth effect into these cards, however they don't seem to have great methods of getting to the field to use these effects. I suggested it might be a good idea to have LP costs to make them able to use their effects or swarm the field easier, since Thunder-Type makes one think of electricity, making you think of your power bill you can't pay, and LP are kind of supposed to be like currency. Also, the Xyz monster is a bit too ridiculous, maybe if it required 3 Xyz material or something.

http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/355579-maverick-hunters-2525-cards/ "Maverick Hunters" archetype - Unfortunately I've never played Megaman, so I wasn't much help with the lore. An interesting Xyz counterpart to Masked Heroes, and heroes in general. With a toolbox of effects that could be useful to many situations. OP definitely has a good idea going here, but it comes down to 4 problems:

1. The X-Forms can feel a bit samey, especially with many of them just having that extra effect from the armor card attached to it, that's almost always a protection effect, (speaking of that, I don't why they have this condition, as this archetype would rather summon more X/Z-Forms than focus on retrieving used ones).

2. While the Z-Forms are stronger, there should be at least one more Z-Form, for a little more versatility.

3. The low main deck monster pool is a bit devastating, while they're all pretty good, a few more to help aid in consistency would be good.

4. Xyz monsters don't float when they die, which further exacerbates the low number of main deck monsters, and would be really beneficial since this archetype relies on just two effect monsters, and as I said before, it'd be better focused on getting more X/Z-Forms out than retrieving used ones.

I mentioned Heroes before, and this archetype oddly reminds me of many of the problems with Heroes, but just like Heroes I'd like to see them improved. They have cool ideas behind them, and have great versatility.
